The St. Louis Rams have lost two players with severe head and neck injuries, including starting right tackle Jason Smith who has since been taken to a Dallas area hospital. 

Steven Jackson put his team on the board, and they  trail 17-7 at the half. The Rams look more spirited than they have all season. It looks like a response to the Smith injury. Even the defense played a role in a limiting Dallas to a mere field goal after a turnover.
