Sam Bradford Injury: Will Rams QB Test Ankle?

Sam Bradford of the St. Louis Rams is likely to test his ankle today.

All eyes will be on the happenings at Rams Park today. St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford will test his left ankle...maybe. Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported earlier this week that Bradford will attempt to test his ankle on Friday. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo was less forthcoming about it following yesterday's practice, in which A.J. Feeley did all the work with the first team for the second day in a row.

Bradford will almost have to test his ankle today, for personal reason as much to allow the team to make a decision about whether or not to activate Tom Bradstater, the third quarterback. A first test might come before practice starts, to get an idea about what to do at practice. I suspect we'll know something by the afternoon.

A report yesterday from Will Carroll noted that the key for Bradford isn't just the pain tolerance, but his ability to drop back with the ball. If he can do that, he should be able to play. Take a guess as to what they'll be looking for in practice today.
