St. Louis Rams WR Greg Salas Is A Pepsi Rookie Of The Week Nominee
Despite the scoreboard, this week's game marks a turning point for St. Louis Rams rookie wide receiver Greg Salas. Hopefully. The Rams' fourth-round pick this season made his first NFL start this week, taking over in the slot for Danny Amendola. His eight catches this week were enough to earn him a nomination for the NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Week.
Salas had a rough start to his NFL career this season. His dropped passes earned him some notoriety among fans who wondered whether or not another Rams struck out again on another mid-round wide receiver prospect. He sat out weeks 3 and 4, before he started back to work with the offense during the bye week practices.
He had a strong game working out of the slot this week. He caught eight of ten passes thrown his way for a total of 77 yards. Hopefully for the Rams, it signals the beginning of what they envisioned for Salas when drafting him in the fourth-round, a pick most pundits thought was a steal. If he can build on this performance, the Rams offense can really use him in a unit that now features Brandon Lloyd.
Salas and Andy Dalton are the only rookies offensive players on this week's ballot. Three rookie defensive linemen really stood out this week. Go vote for Salas.

Good for Salas,
to say he had a rough start is a bit of an understatement, but I for one am willing to give him the benefit of a doubt and take a more of a wait and see approach on him, (as far as calling him a bust).
LA Rams, Sounds great!!!
He looked like Danny last game
but man are we still missing Danny in the return game, but both rookies Salas and Petitis had good weeks last week. Let’s hope they can continue the upward trend.
Pettis looked good returning punts at least.
He’s finally learning when to call a fair catch too. We need a better kick returner though. Porter isn’t cuttin it. Norwood was doing a better job.
Two things about me will never change. I will always root for the Rams, and I will always root against the Niners.
Just take the knee in the end zone
It’s not that hard to be a return man now

i have always been high on salas
even when he screwed up i remained upbeat about his chances to do well. from the beginning i liked this pick along with jabara. not that the others still here were not good but i felt those two later picks were potential steals. still waiting to see jabara in game mode.
Now Im still kinda mad about how he did in the monday night game
but I saw the improvement but dammit this is a ram, its our duty to vote for him
M-V-TEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Upon hearing that the nfl lockout was over, I faced in the general direction of Seattle and gave them the finger. GO RAMS
