TST Power Rankings Week 6

Fresh off week five, here are the TST Power Rankings. Not too much to report this week, as most of the top 15 stayed the same (minus the 49er's, who exploded into the top 10). One team finally breaks the #1 streak the Packers have had for one writer, and regardless, the early Thanksgiving game finally matters. Hit the jump to check them out!

Packers

Just flat out playing brilliantly. Rodgers is on his way to an MVP year. - Doug

Lions
3 1 3

2

This team's schedule post-bye is much tougher than the pre-bye slate, so expect a decent amount of losses at the end of 2011 for the Lions. For now though, just enjoy the successes of a team that hasn't had any in the last decade- 3k

Patriots

Quality through and through. Their deep roster will see them to the Super Bowl with Green Bay. - Doug

Ravens
4 5 2

4

-1

Take a look at their schedule; the Ravens don't even need their defense to dominate as consistently as they have in the first four games. This could be your #1 overall seed from the AFC. -3k

Saints

Can they really be a sleeper if they are ranked this high? The NFC North has been getting all the love, but the Saints are an experienced and deep team. -Eric

Bills

NFL teams have stopped taking them for granted, and are now game planning them as a top 5 team. The Bills have depth concerns that may start to play out soon. - Doug

Steelers

Big Ben put up huge numbers against a good Titans team. But I just don't see them as a top team right now. -Eric

49ers

In dismantling the Buccaneers, the 49ers solidified their early season victories with a "no, this isn't just luck" win. Now going into Detroit, NFL fans are facing the unbelievable: Detroit v. San Fran is the best game of week 6. - 3k

Redskins

The up coming contest with Philly will set the stage for the rest of the season. A win puts them in control of their division. -3k

Chargers

It's so hard to be convinced by this team. Sure, they're 4-1...but the four teams they've beat on my power rankings are nos. 25, 27, 30 & 24. They've got a good test coming out of the bye with a road game against the Jets, and home games against the Raiders and Packers in their next four -3k

Texans
10 11 13

11

-4

It's time to see if they can survive injuries to Mario Williams and Andre Johnson and keep chugging. Gary Kubiak's job depends on it. - Eric

Jets
11 16 10

12

-3

Waaay better than their current record. They need to get on track soon though… - Doug

Raiders
13 13 12

Coach Jackson has his team now. If they had a better QB, they'd be near the top of this list. - Doug

Cowboys
16 14 17

Jerry Jones said he wouldn't make the mistake of not drafting talent. Will he trade up for Luck? - Eric

Giants
15 15 18

15

This is a quality team that loses games on their own hook. Eli has a crucial INT fetish that needs therapy. - Doug

Titans
22 12 14

16

They had a tough loss against the Steelers, but in their division, anything could happen. - Eric

Falcons

Who is this team? The Falcons are one of the more confusing teams in the league to this point. - 3k

Bucs
19 19 16

A promising team that literally came apart in S.F. One of the better defensive secondaries is crumbing - Doug

Bears
18 18 19

19

Jay Cutler deserves disability checks from the Bears' FO every damn day. That is all. - 3k

Eagles
12 24 20

20

I've never seen a team collapse faster (except the Rams). They need to figure something out quick, or the average Philadelphian will turn on the team - Eric

Bengals
20 17 22

Dalton has been a welcome surprise this season. A.J. Green is a future star at WR. - Doug

Seahawks
23 23 21

Clipboard Jesus took the field and won the game for the team. Let the lamest QB controversy begin! - Eric

Panthers
21 21 26

Say what you want, but they are losing with some style. Newton is a OROY candidate for sure. - Doug

Browns
26 22 23

Doing more with less just won't last. Look for them to end up lower here very soon. - Doug

Broncos

Vikings

The Vikings should wise up and play Adrian Peterson as their QB, as he pretty much is the offense. - Eric

Chiefs
29 26 27

Trying to work through injuries that showed how thin this team really is... Haley will be first coach out the door when season ends. - Doug

Jaguars

Their 163 fans that show up for home games just aren't enough - Doug

Cardinals

Beanie Wells has stepped up. Kevin Kolb has not. -Eric

Dolphins

Henne was the only less than dull spot this season. Won't be surprised if the Orton deal of preseason gets done before the trade deadline. - Doug

Colts
32 31 30

Jim Irsay said they'd be willing to draft Luck. No shit Jim! - Eric

Rams
31 32 32

The Rams' performances this season as a whole have been worse than those of every single team in the NFL. Any power rankings, these or otherwise, that doesn't have them at 32nd is ranking them based on potential, not production. -3k
