Random Ramsdom, 10/11: Packers Prep
The St. Louis Rams bye week is over. Practice resumed yesterday as they get ready to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. It's a tall order, but it would be a great way for the Rams to turn their season around after a very disappointing start.
Rod Hood Will Play This Week - The Rams' depth at cornerback is a little frightening. Rod Hood is probably the best of the bunch, and he has not played since 2009. He and Justin King will most likely be the starters this week. Hopefully, one of the younger, less experienced corners, culled from the ranks of undrafted rookies, can step up this season, but I think those are unreasonable expectations.
How can Rams slow down Packers QB Aaron Rodgers? - Um...uh...well...it's not going to be easy. The prescription calls for zone defense to limit the yards after catch and an aggressive front four. Offensively, the Rams will need to stay on the field and score points. This is really all about limiting damage and not getting embarrassed.
Roski retools Los Angeles NFL site plan - An interesting turn in the LA stadium race, this time from Ed Roski, who is developing a stadium outside of LA in the City of Industry. Roski is offering to hand over the property he owns to a team that relocates there. The team would finance the stadium construction, likely owning it, and then sell Roski a share of the team at market value. That plan is far more in line with something that Kroenke might be more inclined to look at with the potential to own a stadium and retain majority interest in the team.
Ranking the NFC West quarterbacks - Who is the best quarterback in the division right now? Why, it's Alex Smith, playing in the last year of his contract with the 49ers. The worst quarterback play, statistically speaking, in the division is Sam Bradford. That was supposed to be reversed.

Thanx for keeping us up to date Van...
I’m obviously knowing that us winning against the Pack will be THE biggest upset of the season so far, I just hope we’re competitive enough and get some points on the board – tall order I know, but as long as we show some pride and fight for everything out on the field, then that would be considered a major positive in my book.
Don’t know too much about Hood, but having King alongside him cant be good for our secondary – there again, we can’t be that far off being as low as we can go after everything this season so far.
Hope I get surprised by the play of Jackson and Miller, the two guys we’ve just picked up. Know there’s not a lot out there personell-wise unless we try and spend cash we don’t have, but it kinda makes me think that we’re grasping at straws, choosing two guys who are relatively unknown.
12 games to go – possibly the last 12 for our HC & GM with our team.

wow
that cb vs wr match up is a scary one lets pray the dline can get pressure but i doubt it. If we blitz it will mean a lot of long bombs for the packers and maybe a 28 0 lead in the first quater
Rams Bulls and Mets allllllllll day also i do love white castle
I've got a red zone piece

UPSET OF THE YEAR COMING
Well not really, it would take a miracle for us to win this game. Hopefully we can just play a solid game and not make all these bad penalties and drop passes like the first 4 games
