Ronnie Brown
Just a thought. What if we went and got Ronnie Brown as Jackson's backup in free agency. He would likely take about 10 carries away with Jackson still having about 20 carries a game. Ronnie was in his contract season and didn't produce well but that means he would come relatively cheap. I personally feel he has a lot left in the tank as he had terrible quarterbacks all season in Henne and Thigpen, thus letting defenses load the box on him and Ricky Williams. Brown would also give the Rams a wildcat option. I think this would be a viable option. Let me know what you guys think.

I like that idea
Ronnie Brown is a pretty good passing catching running back and the wildcat for the Rams would be freaking awesome. Just imagine Ronnie Brown taking the snap and then having the option to run it, had it to Steven, or throw it. That is pretty good options right there. I never thought about the Rams getting Ronnie Brown now that I have, I like it

Considering Jackson averaged just over 20 carries a season with no backup
I don’t see how Brown would get 10 and Jackson would get 20. I don’t see us adding 160 carries to the mix, especially with Josh McDaniels. The carry totals are most likely going down this year.
I’m also not sure that Brown would want to come to the Rams considering he would probably get 10 or less touches per game.
