2011 East-West Shine Game: Rams talk to a couple of small school prospects

Stay connected for news and updates

Yesterday, we passed along word that scouts from the St. Louis Rams spoke one-on-one with two defensive tackle prospects at Tuesday's practice for the East-West Shrine Game.

According to one of our sources on the ground in Orlando, the Rams scouts talked to a couple other 2011 NFL Draft prospects this week too, including Buffalo CB Josh Thomas and Central Michigan LB Nicholas Bellore.

Thomas is 5'10" 196 lbs, and based on reports from the practices this week, he's quite a jarring hitter. At this point, experts are putting him in the seventh round.

Bellore, listed at 6'1" 250 lbs, is an inside linebacker, a small school prospect ticketed for the seventh round at this point. He gets high marks for leadership and effort, and has been a well regarded small school player at Central Michigan, selected to the All-MAC Conference First Team. He'll be at the Combine.
