Bradford denied one of several rookie of the year awards

Stay connected for news and updates

Justice miscarried! St. Louis Rams rookie QB Sam Bradford was denied the Sporting News' NFL Rookie of the Year award, losing by 39 votes to the player picked just after him in last year's draft, Detroit DT Ndamukong Suh.

The Sporting News, which I didn't realize still existed, polled 600 NFL players who chose Suh for the award.

Bradford and Rams OT Rodger Saffold were both named to the All-Rookie team.

This is just one of a jillion rookie of the year awards. Fans can still vote for Bradford for the Pepsi ROY award, and the official AP ROY awards will be announced soon.

Congrats to Suh. It's rare that a player of his caliber comes along, even more rare when the first and second picks in the draft are two incredibly special players.
