Steven Jackson: Fantasy Value?

PrintI have a big fantasy draft tonight and I am curious what everyone thinks about SJax's fantasy status this season. If I have a pick in the later first round, I would love to have the pride of STL on my team. However, my league is a league where TD's are heavily weighted and Jackson's numbers last year (1,400 yards and only 4TD's) are not cutting it. My question to Rams nation, without letting our Rams bias step in the way, how many TD's do you think realistically SJax scores in 2010? Let me know what you guys think....Thanks for the help guys...

i had the 11th pick in a 12 team league
and took SJax. I was really happy to get him there. I could see him getting around 10 touchdowns this year.
Excellent value
I had a draft a few weeks ago, and many people avoided him. I took him with my 10th pick because even when he is not healthy (see: last year), he still manages to break tackles and move the chains. With a more jelled offensive line, and a developing passing game, the Rams should move down the field often and he should get more red-zone carries.
Its a 12 Team League
I dont have the position yet but If Im in the bottom half, Im probably going with SJax. If I have the Chance to take Peterson or Ray Rice, Im gonna take it though. IDK, Im a big believer in drafting an RB in the 1st round. Its also a Snake Draft so if I have the 3rd to last pick in the first round, for example, I pick 3rd in the second. This has been huge for me thus far and I have been able to put together one pretty nice team already (Rice, R.Wayne, Brady, V. Davis, M. Forte, NYJ Def, and D. Driver). Let me know your thoughts. I would love to have SJax on my team but Im not gonna risk my league for him…
In a TD Heavy league I would go ....
AP CJ Turner Gore Greene Mathews Mendenhall MJD Rice Willams Grant as far as top 10 running backs followed by either a star QB or WR depending on whats available with jacskon as a 3rd rounder if available
I was picking 10th tonight
in my league. I almost took SJax, but ended up taking Mendenhall instead. Jackson went in the middle of the 2nd round. Actually, my son is in the same league and he took SJax. If he has an all-pro year I’ll never hear the end of it.

How do you guys think I did? This was my first Fantasy Draft so Im kind of a noob!
