9-5-10 Transactions Thread
Yesterday was the deadline to cut rosters down to 53 players. Now there are over 700 players on the opening market. The Rams should be interested in at least a couple of those 700+ players. They should especially be interested in a running back that could be an improvement over Darby/Toston.
We have already added a couple of players to our practice squad. WR Danario Alexander has been added as many expected. Also Mortty Ivy, LB from the Panthers, has been added to our practice squad.
Many were surprised by the release of Quincy Butler yesterday, well he has already been claimed by the Browns.
On the running back front, Andre Brown has been signed by the Broncos.
In an unrelated note, Dan LeFevour claimed by the Bengals.
I was thinking this could be an open thread for all transactions that happen in the NFL today.

Could "an NFL team" be the Rams? Seahawks?
Source:
Vincent Jackson and an NFL team worked out a one-year deal yesterday but team and Chargers could agree on trade terms. Post to follow
Shurmur, your career is in 3rd and long. Don't run a draw.

I'm guessing that it would have to be the Seahawks
Since they’re the only organization that has permission to talk to him, right?

ESPN says trade talks are dead with whoever the team was

one year deal? I don't understand that

there have been conflicting reports
i think his agent says that number wasn’t correct. Obv agents aren’t the most honest people in the world.
I really really want RB J Bell
i may hold my breath and stomp until we sign him….lol
Question Fellas
what is the difference between signing a player off waivers or signing them off the practice squad contract wise?
I don't know if there is much of a difference.

ok... good..... thanks
I was wondering because the Bills immidiately signed Bell to the practice squad and I didn’t know if that made it more difficult to get him.
If you sign someone as a free agent
you can sign them to your practice squad. Once they are on someone’s practice squad you can still sign them, but they have to go on your 53 man roster. That’s the only real difference, I think.
The Seahags are falling apart at the seams!
Thanks Pete Carroll, I knew you could do it! Check out the following link:
