Steven Jackson injury update; time shares and other Rams news
St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson missed practice again today; news that is sure to make fans and fantasy GMs nervous. His status is still being described as day to day. Ditto for SS Oshiomogho Atogwe.
Other injuries of note are those that kept WR Laurent Robinson and S Darian Stewart out of practice today. Both could practice tomorrow, so stay tuned. DT Clifton Ryan will be out again this week, but that has less of an impact (as long as everyone else stays healthy) since the Rams use DEs at the tackle spots often. James Hall has had a great deal of success on the inside this season matched up against weaker guards.
Back to the running back situation.
Keith Toston is dealing with a shoulder injury and the newest member of the Rams, RB Chauncey Washington, got some reps with the first team. That's something to keep an eye on this Sunday. Seattle's stout run defense was the subject of an earlier post today. Seattle hasn't allowed opposing rushers to do much, but they did allow to short yardage touchdowns against the Broncos in their week 2 loss.
Washington's game is power, and I doubt you have to be incredibly well versed with the playbook to understand how to hit a hole in the middle and get the ball across the goal line or even the first down marker. Toston rushed for negative yards on back to back goal line carries last week one a possession that ended with a blocked field goal. I hope that the Rams are looking for solutions in those red zone situations.
Rams coaches are certainly playing the matchups with the roster lately, including using John Greco at RG. David Vobora will rotate with Larry Grant on the weakside this week, which should help with outside runs that have been the weak spot in the Rams run defense.

I can't stop thinking about it..
I hope Jackson plays cuz If we win this game..it could be the start of a wonderful year..I haven’t been nervous for Rams games in a very long time, probably since 99’. Back in ‘00-’05, i was confident they could win, ‘06-’09, i pretty much knew we were between bad and terrible. This year Im not exactly sure if we are really lookin good, or if we are still a season or 2 away. Every game, im confident we will win, but brace for the worst. This week will answer a lot of questions if we can get a fairly healthy Jackson on the field..DAMN im nervous
Fear Not
Rams fans…. this is definitely a winnable game and with the progression in King Sam I am certain we will get the win! GO RAMS GO!
The only thing comparable to a Rams win is a 49er loss!
That was before his well deserved promotion to" KING SAM"

I heard
another thread called him “Bulls-eye Bradford” sort of has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?

That's what I've been calling him
I’ve also called him Sammy “The Bullet” Bradford.

That is what makes me like this season
I really believe we CAN win this game. Regardless though, each game our team is getting better and better. That feels so good. Last year I felt like I was stuck in that movie “Groundhogs Day” every game was the exact same lame performance.
Even worse
they would find another ridiculous way to lose the game.

the seattle mariners found a new way!
after sucking for a long time you find new ways to lose.
last night they lost on a walk-off strikeout…..only for the 5th time in MLB history has that happened.
"Twin-headed infinite swirling vortex of grotesque suckitude known as Tony Clark and Eric Byrnes"
Even though the names all start with the same letter
it is so much better having Bradford than Bulger and Boller from last year. And Bradford is only going to get better. What a difference!
+1
I forgot what it was like to have a QB with his heart still in the game
Very good point!
The one thing I can admit about Sam Bradfod = he is a field general unlike any rookie since Peyton Manning imo. If the shoulder holds up, then my criticism of the pick is devoid of concern for an injury. $50+ million guaranteed for a rookery is better spent than on a rookie, but what the heck.
At some point, salaries can’t keep going up like they are. Pro athletes are greedy fuks these days, period – no matter how much you all are fans or not.
Looking forward to Sunday!
…and another win! I love this team!
Go Rams...go Sammy B!!!
1 2 RAMS were coming for you, 3 4 you better lock your doors, 5 6 the RAMS are tricks, 7 8 steven jackson legs will break, 9 10 the SEAHAWKS WILL WIN…… LETS GO SEAHAWKS

Okay, Okay okay I got it : )
What do you get if you see a RAM fan buried up to his neck in sand?
ADD More sand!
You’re trapped in a room with an angry grizzly bear, a hungry Lion, and a fan of RAMS. You have a gun with two bullets. What should you do?
Shoot the RAM fan… twice.
What do you call a RAM fan with half a brain?
Gifted!
If you see a RAMS fan on a bike, why should you not swerve to hit him?
It could be your bike
Why did the RAMS players miss their flight for the big game?
They were stuck on a broken escalator!
Why do RAM players keep their Wonderlic results on their dash boards?
So they can park in the handicap spaces.
