Random Ramsdom: 9/2/2010
Where to start, where to start. Things are starting to heat up as roster cuts, disgruntled RFA's and bubble players start to take the center stage. I've got a few links for you to take a gander at, so take a quick peek over your shoulder to make sure your boss isn't zoning into your cubicle, and check these out:
- The Post-Dispatch has a roundup of some of the 'bubble' players. I feel as though we here at TST can come up with a much better and less used nickname then 'bubble' players. Everything is 'on the bubble'. Let's do better. Whoever wins gets a bonus...that I can't yet tell you about.
- Speaking of Josh Brown (I mean that by the picture above), Bill Coats has an article dealing with Brown's quest for improved accuracy. Also, a look at how DX is already getting into the swing of things with Hooma'. Hopefully some of Hooms diamond-in-the-rough talent will translate over.
- The Rams don't look too interested in Derrick Ward. Why? It'd probably be because the media portrays him as fat and lazy. Consider it the LenDale White syndrome.
- Troy Aikman says Sam Bradford is the real deal. Apparently, Aikman had no idea Sam Bradford knew of his accomplishments during his career. Who are these Cowboys he talks about?
- Jeff over at Ramsgab previews the final preseason game. Hopefully the Rams can gain some serious confidence with a strong performance.
- Will at Ramherd is right on the money when it comes to his breakdown of SI's NFC West Preview and his rebuttal. Maybe the glass is half full, after all?
- Sando put up his post camp roster analysis for the Rams yesterday, along with a good look at all the positions and the camp battles.
That's it for today. Enjoy your Thursday, and of course, go Rams!

How about
Potential gamechangers because it’s the players that sneak onto a roster that always seem to make the biggest difference ask miles Austin or on a grander stage David Tyree

That's 50 50.
A lot of people think he will get signed off the practice squad. I don’t really understand that bc he was udfa awhile after he cleared his physical. The man has a lot of talent but can we have a wr and a te on the team that will both play very little bc their their talent is so raw?

Currently, the issue is
DX apparently is not football ready yet where Fendi is and can contribute on special teams and some special sets.
Fendi looks pretty good as a “gunner”.
Practice Squad
He’s got to at least start the year on the practice squad. Don’t think anybody has had enough a look to snatch him up from there, especialy when there will be a flood of WR from Saturday’s cuts
It’s possible he comes back mid-season if/when injury strikes. It’s also possible he takes a “redshirt” year and comes back next year to compete in camp.
I know I may be putting blood in the water, but Danario has a lot to prove in the way of learning the NFL game, getting football ready and avoiding injury. I’ve heard that he’s had at least 3 surgeries on the same knee. That does not sound like a player that can be consistently counted on to stay healthy through a 18 16 game season
Excited
cant fucking wait until the season kicks off, last year i had liverpool finish only 7th in premier league n the rams were just plain awful, cant get ne worse. hopefully the offense can stay on the feild a bit longer n give the d a chance. it was r offense that destroyed us last year picks n poor field position
Precipice players.
They’re just about to fall off a cliff.
While my opinion may differ from his here and there
I always love reading Sando’s articles. He actually pays attention to our team and looks before writing. I have never read an article from SI (or many other national sports medias) that doesn’t make me ask myself if they just phoned it in.
