Random Ramsdom: 9/16/2010
Getting ready for the game...I have to admit, if we lose, it's going to be pretty deflating. No offense to Raiders fans, but your team really sucks. But it's sort of cool to have that dysfunctional structure and a united hate in Al "The Crypt Keeper" Davis. Anyway, here are the daily links:
- A update on the sold out game last week...It wasn't as sold out as you were lead to imagine. In fact, it was the fourth lowest total in the last five years.
- Many Raiders may not play this week. Seriously, the Rams need to win this.
- Speaking of the win desperation, here is one reason why it is important for the Rams to win some games: appease the fanbase.
- Jim Thomas has an article about how Sam Bradford is already the best thing since sliced bread. Or about learning those "football matters" or what have you. But he certainly can't be better then Tim Tebow.
- Sando looks at the NFC West injury situation.
- This one is from Rams311: A NFL Video on Sam Bradford's first game.
That's about it for today, as always, go Rams.

If Seymour and Asomugha are out there is absolutely no excuse to lose this game.
My wife works for a not for profit organization and I was lucky enough to get some of the free tickets from the United Way that were given away. I got a feeling of restrained optimism from the fans for most of the game, but at least for those around me I was getting more of a feeling of same ol’ Rams than anything else by the end of the game. This is going to continue until we win a few games. When the Cards went up at the 6 or 7 minute mark about 1/3 of the stadium just left.
Pat Shurmur in particular took a lot of heckling from my section. Everyone seemed to expect a lot more SJ and the dink and dunk throws weren’t popular, even when completed.
Another reason the stadium might not be full is now a days the TV experience is just great. Especially if you care about more games than the one going on. The afternoon games weren’t even getting updates that I can see, the scoreboards just kept repeating stuff from the noon games. I was glad to go with free tickets, but $80 to see the game from the awful seats I had just wouldn’t be worth it, especially when it’s free to watch on TV.
I went into the game with a sense of optimism, and I’m still clinging onto it, but another loss or two and it’s gonna be tough to go into every week hoping for a win.
I was there the last time the Rams played in Oakland.
We kicked their ass twenty some to zero. I showed up dressed to impress with my Rams gear. Sorry to say I will not be there this time. I will try to watch from home. That is if the faider game isn’t blacked out like always. Go Rams!
Did the Rams make a play for TJ?
I’d like some good recievets on our team.

I agree with the NFL Network assessment
Excellent breakdown. If Sam’s just a hair quicker on the release (which comes with experience), then some of those are TD’s.
Now that is Chutzpah
Informing the fans of your next opponent that their team sucks after one’s own team has gone 6-43 over their last 49 games.
The Raiders have a
solid defense. I think it will be a good game. I hope the Rams prevail (our fans need it!), but I could see it going either way. It’s a tough place to play. I’d like the Rams more at home.
Yeah - I agree
The way I figure it – we should be dogs (vegas lines) in most every game we play this year (if not every game). I will be happy with every win the team gets this year (and I expect 3) but there isn’t any one game a 1-15 team with a rookie QB can look at and pencil in a W.
I should be working right now...
agree
I don’t care if it’s pretty or ugly…. I just want these boys to get a win under their belt so they can move on from the little voice in their heads telling them it’s not possible. That little voice needs to be quieted in alot of the fans too.
and another thing WOW
reading the Raider’s injury article showed me….. those fans are downright disrespectful to eachother. I am so glad we have a great community here at TST. Everytime we are linked to another teams articles I see the difference. Even if we disagree here we have an ability to keep it about football and respect eachother’s opinions. We are very lucky to have such an awesome community.
