Could the Rams consider RB Andre Brown?
The St. Louis Rams may not have reached a deal with the New England Patriots for a backup running back, but the Patriots swap of Laurence Maroney to Denver has shaken lose another option. The Broncos released RB Andre Brown to make room for their latest addition. Brown is a name that could generate some interest from teams needing a change of pace guy in their backfield, teams like the Rams.
Drafted in the fourth round by the New York Giants in 2009, Brown spent his rookie year on IR...familiarity with the injured reserve system, always a good qualification for a potential Rams player. Anyway, he had a pretty good showing in the preseason this year as both a rusher and a kickoff return man.
The Broncos claimed Brown off waivers from the Giants on Sept. 5. Here's a scouting report on Brown from Walter Football.
I like the idea of a change of pace back. Could Brown be that guy?

Let's see... Andre Brown released, to make room for Maroney.
Looking at the scouting reports, he is same height and 1 pound lighter than Ogbannaya. Strikingly similar scouting reports.

Well if Maroney is the better back then no thanks i dont want him on the Rams
Maroney sucks i can just imagin Andre Brown since Maroney is taking his job lol Devaney cant you target any thing but garbage players we need real players no more cast offs please
I don't know if he is, but...
…we gotta sign somebody (stating the obvious). After watching the game last weekend, it is obvious we don’t have ANY confidence in Darby or Toston. 55 passes for Bradford and 22 runs for Jackson means we didn’t want anyone else to handle the ball.
We need someone to take 5 to 7 plays off the other two’s load. We’ve known about our need for a backup RB for a year now and haven’t done anything about it. It would have helped last week!
FO focused on Sam
I would have to think the FO is clearly focused on Sam and I used the Darcy signing to support my claim. Their moves are clearly centered on protection and a speedy BU RB. doesn’t fit the mold. I think this works for “breaking in” Sam but it doesn’t help spread the field. JMHO

No boys the FO is clearly focused on not spending money for good players
They take all the trash from Giants and Eagles that are shoved this way ,this is not how teams are built
i gotta say this has been a fifty/fifty in success though
you gotta remember some of the “trash” was Danny Amendola and Robbins and well…. i really like those two. It may not always work out well but it hasn’t always worked out badly either. I will take 10 Amendola’s any day of the week…. seriously…
AND
And if you can’t spread the field our SJ will be routingly POUNDED.

LB News
Rams claimed LB Bryan Kehl off waivers from the Giants.
Kehl started one game and appeared in 14 last year, and didn’t embarrass himself. He also started twice as a rookie in ’08. The Rams need help at linebacker and on special teams with Chris Chamberlain out indefinitely.

the one thing I really have confidence with on defense
is that if we get a player from another team that was naturally decent anyway, I have alot of confidence in Spags and co. to make them twice as good. That is one thing you wont see me bitch about. I think we do a really good job of bringing all the potential out in our defense players.
Joique Bell, anyone?
Buffalo’s overstacked at RB and he’s languishing on the practice squad. Anyone more stat-smart than me have an argument against him?
I really really want him
He has loads of potential but I do see other’s point in wanting someone with experience so they can pick up blitzes. Still, he is going to be the real deal for whoever works with him IMO.
So where are we supposed to buy these good players?
Is there a good player store i’m not aware of? There is no free agents to buy and the NFL frowns on calling players homes and asking if they want to play for us. The FO can only go after available players, unfortunately those players are unemployed at this time. Choices are very limited. I don’t think it’s as much a matter of being cheap as it is there is only so much talent out there. Or lack thereof
