How To Win "Breakdown" WK 1
Hey Rams fans... this week we'll have a look at the strip by Atogwe, and discuss why the Rams came away with zero points off from that turnover.
In the NFL, the margin for victory is very small, even in blowouts. This game could have easily been a blowout but because of a bunch of little things, the Cardinals came away with the victory. We can all complain and moan about it, but bottom line, Arizona deserved this victory.
Side note: Breaston should be NFL player of the week on defense even though he is a WR.

Oh wow!
I thought that was a great play, but it could have been 6!!! Your videos are better than coaches clicker breakdowns!!!
Horrible
DT’s aren’t used to running the ball. I like the fight, but there is good reason why the DT’s should fall on the ball instead of trying to scoop and score. He got lucky on the bounce but when one of the big guys has the ball, there is a million ways something like this can fail.
I was hoping for at least the safety here, but it’s evident that even though the AZ defender had the ball before the goal line, he didn’t have complete possession of the ball.
What an awesome breakdown VT.,.. seriously
but you know it got me thinking.,.. Most young guys come into a team and have vets that show them what it takes to win. Our team has been loosing so long that there is no one to teach these guys how to react when they get a recovery etc. Hall should have turned around, yes, but there were 6 GUYS around Murphy. That is freaking crazy. As long as they were all scanning for players coming in he would have had a touchdown hands down. They just aren’t used to having enough talent to even get a recovery from someone stripping the ball because they never had enough talent to strip the ball. This is what we are talking about when we say winning mentality. It isn’t “I BELIEVE I WE CAN WIN” ….it’s “I know what to do when we make a winning play”. It actually makes me a little excited because damn straight this same scenario happens next week, we will have six guys scanning aroung them looking for someone to take out.
First of all, THANK YOU :-) Secondly, I saw the same thing..
If you look, the guys behind (Hall etc) almost appear dumbfounded.. like they didn’t know what to do. They were almost in disbelief like, “Holy crap… is that Bradley Fletcher with the ball? Huh? We’re not supposed to make these kinds of plays.. are we?”
I think we have the tools physically, but mentally we need experience. What you saw here, isn’t taught in camp. This is a mental instinct thing that can only be learned by experience.

Fletcher....that makes alot more sense
lol…. i was thinking in my head… i can’t believe murphy knew to pick up the ball and run… Fletcher makes alot more sense
I was hoping that Chris Long, with his fire blazing...
Would want to tear someone’s head off who attempted to get Fletcher down. Great step by step video!
Damn you Breaston!!!!!!!!!!
I wish a mild case of mouth herpes on you. Thank you VT for giving me more content for my website IWISHAMILDCASEOFMOUTHHERPESFORSTEVENBREASTON.COM. Great stuff really enjoy these breakdown.

It is a nice breakdown.
I second what someone else said above. Your analysis shows that what we all thought was a good play was marred by a serious lack of awareness. Twice the Rams had easy defensive ways to score. On this play: a 6 guy escort down the field and not one of them threw a block!
I give them credit for the hustle, but minus some points on the follow through.
Long was focused on the guy out in front,
making sure he couldn’t make the play. What were the rest of tehm doing? James Hall did the same thing twice in the same game. He didn’t block for Fletcher and he didn’t block for Ryan. That’s ridiculous.
