We almost had one today guys. We shoulda won. The guys played damn hard. But, we were playing Derek Anderson, not Kurt Warner. Anderson continually missed Fitzgerald all day....until the winning TD. We shoulda won. But, LUCK was not on our side - again. The 1st reminder was the blocked FG. Or maybe it was the fact we were even attempting a FG in the 1st place, rather than having scored a TD. With Sammy and SJax we shoulda scored more than one stinkin' TD. Yet, I saw Lady Luck go the other way at SO many critical points in the game. The FG attempt, the sure TD pass dropped by Clayton, the certain INT that went through Bartell's hands, the batted pass that hung for an eternity before harmlessly dropping to the turf, the TD fumble return that ended up a touchback for the Cards. And, HOW did they gash us for 75 rushing yards and a TD on only 5 straight plays running to the outside??? Where were our OLB's and Corners??? Why didn't the DC make some kind of adjustment after the 2nd or 3rd consecutive 15-20 yard rush to the outside??? Or how 'bout this one? Cards have the ball deep in their territory with 3rd and 20. Next thing I know, there's a 35 yard pass completion with a 15 yard penalty tacked on for roughing the passer. Net = 50 yard gain on 3rd and 20. Finally, a certain somebody needs a swift kick to the posterior for poor clock management. That was Bush-League. Again, we shoulda won. Sam will be alright. He's deadly accurate when not being dragged down. Our receivers need to learn how to hold onto passes that hit them in the hands. And,we need to find a way to keep from getting the sh*t kicked out of Sam. He took too many hard hits today. 17-13 was close, but it goes down as a division loss. And, I'm afraid if Kurt Warner had been out there throwing to Fitzgerald and Breaston, we'd have lost more like 34-13. But today, we shoulda won.
