I Like Brandon Gibson as the #2 WR
With Donnie Avery out the entire 2010 season, that leaves the WR list as Laurent Robinson, Danny Amendola, Mardy Gilyard, Brandon Gibson, Danario Alexander, Keenan Burton, Brandon McRae, Jordan Kent, and Dominque Curry.
That being said, you only "really" know of 3 receivers making the team, with Robinson, Gilyard, and Amendola.
Anything can happen after that.
With a starting position open on the outside, I really like Brandon Gibson in that role.
The reason why is because Danny Amendola and Mardy Gilyard aren't outside receivers. They are both good in the slot, not outside.
I recently was watching some games of the Rams at the end of last season, while Brandon Gibson was playing in the wide out spot. He looked pretty good, and he is better than Keenan Burton.
Spags knows how Gibson plays the game, and he knows of his ability. The Rams would be a lot better if Gibson was on the outside, and Amendola in the slot. (or Gilyard)
Brandon Gibson stats from 2009 (9 games):
34 receptions, 348 yards, 1 TD, averaged 10.2 yards per catch
Danny Amendola stats from 2009 (14 games):
43 receptions, 326 yards, 1 TD, averaged 7.6 yards per catch
A slot receiver should have more receptions, but an outside receiver should have more yards and average yards per catch. I like Gibson better outside.
My 2010 Depth Chart:
1. Laurent Robinson
2. Brandon Gibson
3. Danny Amendola
4. Mardy Gilyard
5. Keenan Burton
6. Danario Alexander (possibly PS)
7. Dominque Curry (PS)
Cut: Jordan Kent, Brandon McRae

Danario i heard was limping around i say we put DA on IR to learn an get healthy
because if we put him on IR we could keep him to ourselves without anyone tryin to scoop him up off our PS…and with him on IR he can get healthy and watch an learn the offense then get ready to be our Number1 Next year!!!!!!!!!!! BD is showing to know wut hes doing i trust he’ll make the the right decision
If he likely isn't going to be able to contribute all year,
then IR is the way to go. If it looks like he might be able to help later in the year, the PUP for now might be best. He’s still wearing a knee brace, which isn’t good for any WR. Let alone no knowing the playbook, he just isn’t physically ready to play yet.
Amendola is much more efficient when he's the number 3 slot guy.
I’d like to see Gibson and Robinson be the first two guys, see Gilyard get in there on 4-wide sets, and then have maybe Burton then Alexander rounding out the roster.
whatever happened to sean walker from last year
he made a few nice acrobatic catches in the preseason when playing with null. i was hyped to see this guy get on the field and he just disappeared. anyone know what happened to him
Gibson is better as a number 2. Laurent at #1, but Alexander will take that later in the season
Amendola and Gilyard alternating at the slot spot.
Keenan coming in on 4 wide sets, and on empty sets put the odd slot man out there.
that looks like a hella tough WR corps with a shit tonne of upside.
someone mentioned moving Onobun outside to WR, and someone said he’s too big?
Colston was a TE? how big is he?
Bradford to Onobun!
alexander
im from ireland so dont no as much as u fellas but who the fuck is alexander, if he is good why was he not signed until atfer the draft was he injured r something
he was the number 1 reciever last year in yardage (1785?) (college)
but he has a really bad knee and got hurt again at senior bowl. He had to have surgery. He is one of those guys who could be amazing IF he stays healthy….. that is a big IF
