I dont know about you guys but I am both super excited, yet kind of worried, about this upcoming preseason game against the Ravens. I don't think I need to explain how good this defense is and has always been. With stars such as Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata, McClain, Landry, and Washington playing (I don't expect Ed Reed to play ), Sam Bradford faces his toughest test yet! If Sam wants to be successful this week with the starting group, he is really going to need to bring his A+++ Game. These Ravens are masters of misdirection and can cause some serious problems for any QB, especially a young one.
Three (of the many) Keys to Success:
1) Donnie Who?
The Rams WR's need to show that they are just as dangerous if not more dangerous with out Avery. If we cannot make the Ravens respect our passing game, Sam is in for a LONG night. It also wouldn't hurt to see a new guy like UhOh or Mardy Gilyard cause some problems for the Raven's D
2) Rodger Saffold vs. Haloti Ngata!
In this heavyweight match-up, we are really going to see our starting young Left Tackle tested against a perennial pro-bowler DLineman. Rodger needs to find a way to protect Sam's Blindside and give him some time in the pocket.
3) "You Dont Scare Me Ray Lewis!"
If Sam Bradford can show the same confidence against this defense that he showed against the Patriots, we truly have a young Gem calling the shots in our huddle. You know Ray Lewis and the D will bring the pain and make some bizarre confusing calls at the line to make even Tom Brady or Peyton Manning scratch their helmets. If he can keep a straight head and look as focused and impressive during this game, there really isn't much else that can shake up this guy.
