It's Time for Devaney to step up

With no back up running back, or a true replacement to Donnie Avery, the Rams are sort of screwed. They truly lack depth like good teams in the league. Bradford needs help to turn the franchise around. If not, bye bye Spags and Devaney.

Now with Stan Kroenke as the new owner, the Rams have to build a winner. Kroenke will want to do what it takes to win. He should be spending some cash.

Basically the Rams have OK starters, but really really lack depth. That's what screwed them last season. They an thin at RB, WR, TE, tackle, true defensive ends, LBs, and CBs. It could be a long year.

The answer: Devaney has to step up.

At least 5 players on the 53 man roster have to be waiver wire players or traded players, or just free agents.

Would Devaney step up and try to sign Antonio Bryant if he was released? Same with Lawrence Maroney.

Can he find experienced players? Like a Derrick Ward or the Redskins Rb that gets cut?

The big question is would the 4 pillars have an exception with trading for Vincent Jackson. That's something Devaney has to decide. He has the money to get him, so go get him!

This is a very important time before the season starts for the legacy for Billy Devaney as the Rams GM. It's only his call.

Also:

If the Rams do do nothing at WR, the depth chart should be:

1) Laurent Robinson

2) Brandon Gibson

3) Danny Amendola as slot receiver

4) Mardy Gilyard (same as Danny)

5) Keenan Burton

6) Curry on the PS
