Rodger Saffold-For anyone interested....
I know I am new on this site but I figured I would share the little bit of Rams inside info that I have. For any of those who are interested...
I am a recent Indiana U graduate and have had the pleasure of having some of our football players in my classes (Tracy Porter-NO, Jamie Kirlew-DEN, Ray Fisher-IND, James Hardy-BUF). This spring I was fortunate enough to have 3 courses with our new Left Tackle, Rodger Saffold. Rodger is an intimidating person at first glance (6'6", 330 of solid ROCK) but he is honestly one of the kindest, coolest people I have ever encountered. He was a hard working student and was enrolled in some honors courses with me. that as the 1st pick of the second round he was guaranteed a significant amount of money and a secure future, however that did not stop him from attending every class that he could and finishing his classes with high marks. He was always helpful to all those in his classes and just an all around cool guy to hang around with.
Naturally, I began to talk to him more often than I previously had once he got drafted by the greatest team in all the land (RAMS BABY!). When I asked him what he thought he told me that he couldn't be more excited to play anywhere else considering his favorite player growing up was Orlando Pace. He "guaranteed" me that he would be a Pro Bowl player no matter where he went and he wouldn't stop until he succeeded. Awesome!
Just wanted to let everyone know that our Left Tackle is one of the good guys. He will definitely make us Rams fans proud...

very good to hear
He obviously has good work ethic. My fear was that he was a little small for LT but so far he had done us all proud. Lets hope he stays healthy, keeps working hard, and keeps progressive. If he does those three things I would say his future is as promising as he hopes it will be.
He had a fun interview
near the end of the game last night. He doesn’t seem at all overwhelmed by his surroundings or the big names he’s playing with and against. If he stays serious and really works at it, he could be a real good one. He just dwarfed the guy interviewing him.
Glad I did a breakdown of him..
looks like his motor was justified here… incredible seeing how hard he works.. awesome post man!!

Pleased with the pick
I was happy that Ind and NO passed on him. I knew he would be a Ram. Great pick up.
