Great Day For The Rams!

Had to go to the doctor last night because I had an erection that lasted about 3 and a half hours.  Too much?!  Ok, we have an owner now, we picked up a win in the "dress rehearsal" pre season game and Bradford looked rock solid at the helm.  NFL Network is reporting that Avery is gone for the 2010 season but unlike many on this site, I don't think it will have much of an impact on our squad.  If Danario can stay healthy and learn the system quickly, he should be a major factor in our WR corps.  God speed in your full recovery Donnie.  Hoomanawanui has taken command of the starting TE spot and looks to be a nice fantasy tight end especially in the TD column.  Our back up running backs made some nice blitz pick up's but were not impressive while running the ball.  Toast had a couple of nice runs near the end of the game but for whatever reason he seems to remain 4th on the depth chart.  I think finding a solid back up to Jackson remains a top priority.  O and D lines are developing nicely and I noticed that Long was drawing some double teams!  That is very good news.

It was actually nice to be a Rams fan last night.  To recap..Having an owner is great, Bradford throwing confidently; using veteran tactics like looking off safeties and varying snap counts are very good signs and maybe one of the most impressive aspects of the game is that Chris Long was drawing double teams.  Not getting my hopes up too high but, this is what I wanted to see.  Good effort,  major improvement by our players and good coaching.  Now it is up to our first real owner in years to go out and pick up the rest of the parts to get this engine firing on all cylinders.
