Beer, more beer and bad football!

As promised, here is a review of Saturday's game.  Nothing can be finer than sitting down with a few slices of pizza and an ice cold beer to watch some football, right?  Wrong, if your team is the hapless Rams.  I had to lower my blood pressure with 6-7 beers to keep my heart from exploding!  I watched the exact same things haunt us as last season.  Our O-Line has seemingly gotten worse if that's possible, giving up 6 sacks and multiple QB hurries.  I miss Barron and so will the team!  IMO that was the dumbest move of the off season and that's saying a lot with some of the bonehead moves we have made or haven't.

Our WR's continue their quest to be the biggest joke in the NFL excluding "Amen"dola.  Here is a benchmark for you...Amendola has been our strongest receiver in camp according to stlouisrams.com yet he was cut by the Cowgirls.  What does that say about our receiving corps?  Avery and the rest should be fighting for a 3rd or 4th slot somewhere else in the NFL. Good thing we addressed that position during the off season.

I can't really say much about our running game because we only ran the ball 13 times and Jackson didn't play.  We know that we have a top ten back with an injury history and Toston or Ogbonnaya backing him up so, that could go either way.  If Jackson stays healthy we can finish him off with another 330+ carry season if he doesn't we are more than screwed.

Our defense looked ok at best.  They did give up 28 pts and a 300 yard day to Sage Rosenfels but just like last season, if you don't keep the ball on offense your defense can't hold them for 45 minutes.  Selvie looked pretty good and Cudjo looked ok.  If we can find some way to get to the opposing QB, it may create a few turnovers and make our defensive backs look a little better.

All n' all our team reminds me of last years team minus a former Pro Bowl QB and a durable and serviceable offensive tackle.  Amendola is a bright spot and seems to be a lot like Steve Tasker of Buffalo Bills fame.  He is a try hard guy that may not be the most talented guy on the field but, will make up for it with heart.  This is something that the rest of the guys on our roster should learn from.  He will most likely be cut, we can't have that kind of attitude on this team.  As always can't wait to see the comments.
