Told Ya So...Kinda

First of all, I understand the "Impact" of a DT but Im watching Gerald McCoy {Who they say is not that far behind as far as talent from Suh} & He is not Making as Big as Impact than Josh Johnson a Backup QB. Before you guys jump on my head. I played D-1 College Ball Go Tigers!! & I understand what a DT is to do, but we clearly made the right decsion by picking Bradford. What he is going to do for us is going to be 100x more than ANY defensive tackle could have...

PS: Rumor has it that Westbrook is "Likely" to pick us as a landing spot on Monday

Sam was 6/13 for 57 yards and a fumble.

So I think we should ease up on the Preseason conclusions.

Sam did not have a fumble.

He was hit as he was throwing on one play and the ball went out of bounds behind where he was when he let go of it. It was treated as a lateral pass that went out of bounds.

..............

It would be a shame if SUH becomes a stud and Jimmy Clausen becomes at least a above average QB

Sam Bradford+ AJ Green= Tom Brady + Randy Moss

Not really

If Sam Bradford does well, I couldn’t care less if they succeed. It would be a shame if Bradford busted like Jamarcus and then those players did that.

What if Suh becomes an All-Pro...

…and Clausen goes to as many Pro-Bowls as Sam during their career?

Then, I’d feel like shit. I seriously cannot believe we could have gotten Clausen and Suh in the same draft, but alas, this is preseason game 1. Any judgments made now are absolutely ridiculous and can only come true by sheer dumb luck.

I meant if they all go on to have successful careers

I don’t have a problem. There was still something about Clausen I didn’t like watching him play in the preseason game. It looked like he was throwing as hard as possibly could on every throw and he put his whole body into it. I don’t know, it just didn’t look right.

Yeah, Clausen seemed to throw real low, too. A couple of those were lucky completions from what I saw.

THIS year's the year. I hope....

This really doesn't matter much q

but I agree partly with what you are saying. I never really understood the huge hype for McCoy. I just didn’t see him dominating at the next level. Hell he had a tough enough time in college to even earn that “term”.
Suh however, consistently showed his dominance, work ethic, and maturity over an extended period of time (more than just last year).
However, there is no doubt that Bradford was the right choice in our given state. Without a QB in a QB driven league, your team is hopeless. Hell, even if you have the best defense in the league, and the best offensive line, you would be fortunate to make the playoffs.
With that said, I still think D-line is a huge need for us. More specifically DE. I know that people think we need a DT, I however disagree with that. I think our DT’s will be fine should they stay healthy.
As Brian Billick said “You can never have enough Pass rushers or DB’s”
We have loaded up on the DB’s….even if they are all getting injured, now we just need to pick up some pass rushers.
