Fantasy football season is here
With training camp just a week away, it's time to start thinking about fantasy football...time to start teasing that guy in your office who out-foxed himself weekly last year.
If you haven't organized your league yet, CBS Sportsline is offering Turf Show Times readers a special deal on their commissioner leagues. Sign up through this link and you'll get 50 percent off the whole package, normally priced at $180, but yours for just $90.
I know everyone has their preferred system for fantasy football and there are lots of free services out there. I've used lots of services myself. My favorite for a close-knit league where friends put some stakes on the outcome is the CBS Sportsline service. Things you get over at CBS that make it worth paying for (in my opinion):
- Customization of entire league...rules, scores, teams
- Multiple draft options including auction drafts
- Ability to manage your league and team on your mobile phone
- Expert and user generated analysis
- Live chat/league instant messenger
- Fast and incredibly accurate live scoring
- Archived historic league data for future seasons
The live scoring comes with the service--I know in other leagues you have to pay for it individually if you want it. You can even create our own record categories (Like "Worst Week Ever", "Worst Coaching Move", etc.) and everything carries over.
For the 50% discount, it is worth a try. You get a 14-day trial period before you are officially on the hook for the payment. For a league with 10-12 teams, it is less than $10 per team on top of whatever you throw in to make things interesting. Just use this link to get signed up and receive the discounted rate.

I'm interested
I have been on several teams and it always seems that only half of the people participate. I am looking for a league where everone participates. I am curious to see how good I really am. Anybody doing this?
I love fantasy football
and usually put a lot of time and effort in. I almost always win or place in the top 3 and play deep leagues with IDPs and many other “hardcore” aspects.
However, I’m trying to stay away from fantasy football this year. It causes me to root against teams I like and usually makes watching football games worse for me. My technique last year start the players and defenses playing the Rams.
Then again, I say that every year.
Keith Null won't accept my friend requests.
I'm already in 3 leagues but would be interested in a TST league if there is one.
I can take a beating ... I'm a Rams fan.
TST League? Set up one at FAntazzle.com
That would be great. I could run a free league through my site at www.fantazzle.com if you all want. Just send an email over there. It is a daily and weekly fantasy game site, but we could do a season type fantasy football salary cap game.
Just let us know.
