Rams O-line takes a hit
3:47PM ET St. Louis Rams Top Email
Just as he was getting rolling in his new digs for the St. Louis Rams, OL Rodger Saffold has reportedly sprained his right knee, and according to Brian Stull of 101 ESPN in St. Louis, the rookie will be out for two to three weeks.
Although it's not a major injury, an offensive line gains efficacy by putting in reps together. Moreover, for a rookie like Saffold, every offseason rep is vital to how well he'll be able to adjust to the increased competition level this fall.

Is this the same injury
Jason Smith had early in the year?
Per fas et nefas - Latin translation="By Any Means Necessary"
I think he had a bruised knee
Which doesn’t sound as bad but it could be worse for all I know.
Onubon > Gates
Nvm it was sprained
Apparently there’s an NBA player named Jason Smith who had a bruised knee.

well, at least they're not in pads yet
i think going through the motions in their shorts is valuable, but not as valuable for the OL as it is when the pads come out

True.
Although, I will say that the more time the group spends together the better for forming continuity.
Either way....it sucks
One can only hope that this is the wordt we will see….
I should be working right now...
Its a sprained knee
Its not the end of the season for him.He could play if he needed to.Crap like this happens every year to every team.A mild injury wont or shouldn’t affect his season.
True - just a little jaded with recent history
I should be working right now...
This is great news!
He will get to meet the trainer and also become familiar with the training room and its amenities. He’ll gain valuable experience in re-habbing his first injury. Something reps will not help him with at all. As an added bonus, and this is a big one, the rest will make sure he is not over used and wore out when the pads go on.
I hope its a very minor injury and he gets back to full strength soon. I’m counting on him to help lead the Rams back to mediocraty and beyond.
