Rams dump six players
The St. Louis Rams got one step closer to their 80-man roster limit today, parting ways with six players. DT Leger Douzable, CB Danny Gorrer, LS Clint Mower and RB DeMaundray Wollridge were waived and the contract of DE James Wyche was terminated. LB K.C. Asiodu was waived, but because of his injury he'll end up on IR if no other team claims him.
Douzable is the most notable of the bunch. A former Giants player, the Rams brought him over and played him in 12 games last season in the wake of injuries atop the depth chart at defensive tackle. The Rams are looking toward the acquisition of DT Fred Robbins, the emergence of Darrell Scott and a healthy Gary Gibson (who beat out former first round pick Adam Carriker last summer for a starting job) to join Clifton Ryan as the top four defensive tackles.
Gorrer, an undrafted rookie, played in three games late last season, starting in the week 16 contest against Arizona.
Don't forget to Tweet us with your predictions when the Rams will sign Sam Bradford.

I really liked Douzable, I'm kind of sad to see him go. However, the other 5 aren't really special in my heart.
And of course, good riddance to Danny Gorrer. He really needs to learn how to tackle.
I liked Douzable too
but I suppose with Fred Robbins and Gary Gibson coming back (or joining the team) he was expendable.
The House of Spears reigns supreme
+1
Yeah, he was expendable, but hope he plays somewhere else. Best of luck to him.
It appears both Douzable & Gorrer have already found new teams.
Douzable to the Lions, Gorrer back to the Saints where we got him.
I was hoping to see Demaundray Woolridge play in preseason
I thought he could be a good FB/HB.

I mentioned these cuts a few hours ago..
Good job! Keep chopping out the deadwood. There's more to go.
And for goodness sakes, please don’t bring back 35-36 year old Leonard Little again. He had a great career in the late 90s early 2000’s, but now he’s too old and deeply associated with the chronic losers we’re trying to get rid of. Happy trails Leonard!
At this point Little could only be effective
if we had a great push up the middle so the QB couldn’t step up. Without that, hope he has a great retirement.
We have so many DEs on this team I don't who to keep.
If we do get Leonard Little, which I’m not sure we will, we will have:
Leonard Little
Chris Long
Hall Davis
George Selvie
Cj Ah You
Victor Adeyanju
Eugene Sims
James Hall
I like all of them but Eugene Sims, the scrawny TE playing DE. Maybe Little doesn’t fit in.
