Ravens and Marc Bulger agree to one-year deal
Which means on Sept. 2, when the Ravens come to the EJD for the final preseason game, Marc Bulger will take the field in the purple and black. Should be a nice way to get closure to the Bulger era (did anybody need anything else?) and open the Bradford aeon in style.

And if Bradford is still considered the 2nd string QB
then they should be playing at about the same time.
Onubon > Gates
I thought to this day that Tackle was right and Bulger would retire.
But I guess $3.8M to play b/u ain’t hay.
I guess the Ravens like his duck and cover technique he has perfected it now lol
I thought he been done retired already but hey I cant believe he got that much is that the actual amount?
And could be much more
if he’s forced into action.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

don't know for '09
but it would’ve been $8.5m for this season.

not a bad landing spot for him
backing up an established, young QB for a competitive team with a solid line

Especially since Flacco is durable
Bulger may never have to take a snap and he’ll still get paid 3.8 million. That’s a pretty good deal if you ask me.
Onubon > Gates
I still think he would have been a better fit in Chicago...
but in Baltimore, he’s got a decent chance to go to the playoffs, so not a bad deal for him at all.
I'm not saying it will happen
But what if Baltimore wins the SB? Even if Bulger is a backup…I’d still laugh pretty hard.
The House of Spears reigns supreme
What if Flacco gets hurt in the first quarter of the SB?
And Bulger leads them to victory?
Onubon > Gates
That was the first thing to pop into my mind
Wish we could have gotten something for him if he’s getting a salary that bloated. Seems like someone should email TrojanRam about this, this is Bulger’s litmus test for sure if he gets any playing time. I’ll be excited to see how this unfolds over the season.
Julio Jones for Rams 2011
Alas, I am here.
Been keeping tabs on our Rams (and I even broke the Togs’ signing, hehehe). Just been a little busy to comment with Lakers’ championship glow. :D
I think this is a great landing spot for Marc. If he can’t play well with that line, that defense, those runningbacks, and Anquan Boldin, then I’ll eat the crow and give you guys props for ditching your faith in the guy long ago.
That is, if he even plays. What do you guys think are the chances the guy beats out Flacco somehow? The Ravens obviously think there’s a good amount left in the tank if they have an incentive based pay scale with a nice salary anyway right?

'Because I'll run right through it."

I thought the opposite
I thought incentive based meant more "show me" than anything else. Just my take on it, but I thought guarantees and fat bonuses show more confidence that someone will have game. I wish the best for Marc but I think there’s no way the Ravens coaches take their young developing leader out of the huddle, even if Marc outplays him in the pre.

and probably...
Incentive based contract is the only way to lure a former starter who has confidence he can produce, if needed. Tell him he will be paid as a starter if he plays like a starter, rather than trying to get him to agree to be pidgeon holed into second string salary

I live in Baltimore
and i dont really like the ravens but i think i will be pulling for them a little bit more now that they have bulger. And actually its a pretty good move by art he knows how to make a winning franchise. If Bulger does go in you gotta imagine the weapons he has on offense. The running game of the ravens is brutal and Boldin mason stallworth mark clayton and nate washington not to mention heap (injury prone now) and the two Te’s they picked up they’re looking good on O. I think it will be Jets ravens for AFC Championship yeah i said it
I think you're right about Jets and just bet them
Last time I was in a Nevada casino, was 5-1 for AFC championship and 10-1 SB.
