Two great tastes that taste great together: TST and CBSSports.com teaming up for fantasy football

Alright, TSTers, I try not to make these sponsored posts too heavy handed or too frequent. This one is pretty cool though. CBSSports.com has graciously offered members of Turf Show Times 50 percent off of their Commissioner League for 2010 Fantasy Football. That's $90 versus the usual $180, including a 14-day free trial.

With the Commissioner League you can customize it your own settings, whether it's scoring rules, action vs regular draft and all the other features that let you make your league work the way you prefer it to. I prefer the CBSSports.com fantasy leagues because they have a lot more features for customization and that all important smack talking that makes fantasy so fun in the first place. The CBSSports.com Commissioner Leagues also feature:

  • The ability to manage your league and your team via your mobile phone.
  • Expert analysis
  • Live chat and league IM.
  • Live scoring
  • And archived league data so that you can pick up where you left off the season before, making fun of the one guy who will inevitable lose like he does every year.
  • You can make it a 10 or 12 team league, which if you split the cost of buying the Commissioner League works out to less than $10 per player.
Visit this link for more details and to get started with your discounted league.

To make it interesting...

Since this offer is for setting up your own league, I've got a different kind of way that we'll link it back to TST. The first and second place finishers from every league created through this offer will get the chance to participate in an NFL post-season fantasy league at TST. The winner of that league will get $100 and some other kind of kitschy, indispensable prize. In order to make that happen, after you sign up for a CBSSports.com Commissioner League through this offer, send me an email with your league name and ID. Then, when your league's season ends in week 16, let me know ASAP who the first and second place finishers were and we'll get our TST playoff league set up.

So, get your buddies and get signed up for the half-priced Commissioner League and let me know ASAP. Have at it.

Looking for a league...

I am looking for a league that has players that actually care and play week to week. Over the past couple of years, all the leagues I have been in have 4 or five people that will play each week. I would like to play in a real league. Any suggestions? What about a TST league?

on yahoo or in other sites,

some custom leagues specify that they are more competitive and usually work for me

I use CBS

for the league that I commission. It’s a really great place to have a league. I run a very in depth, interactive keeper/dynasty league and CBS does a great job! Good choice TST. I wish my league could get that 50% discount though! lol

There is still a free option!

The super deluxe package is the one that costs money, and that is what they are trying to sell.

Only for New Leagues

I tried to cash in on this offer and discovered that it’s only for new leagues, not existing ones. I’ve had a CBS league for 7 years and I have to pay almost twice what new customers pay through this offer. Doesn’t seem right.
