Rams offensive line injuries start early

Somewhere there's a voodoo doll version of the St. Louis Rams offensive line that someone forgot to take the knife out of. There isn't a more cursed unit in all of professional sports. OT Jason Smith has a broken toe; Mark Setterstrom has an arm injury; Jacob Bell had his knee scoped; and this year's second round pick, Rodger Saffold, has a knee strain. Sam Bradford could have a  mighty different road to stardom with Adam Goldberg, John Greco, Phil Trautwein and Hank Fraley in front of him.

The good news is that at least it's just OTAs, where the players don't have pads. They'll get the chance to regroup next month when the pads come out for camp. Let's hope the injury bug finds another place to go by then.

ESPN's John Clayton says Jason Smith is one of last year's rookies that needs to take a big leap forward this year.

Could the Rams start Bradford behind a line missing this many starters? We're not the only ones asking that question.

The Broncos have lost interest in Brian Westbrook

The SBN St. Louis meetup is Tuesday, June 15, at the Schlafly Tap Room. More info and RSVP here.

Roger Allen III still recovering.

Probably need to carry 5 O-Lineman on Practice squad so we can rotate them in on a weekly basis this season ;-)

whatever

Looks to me like we’re gong to have the same problem as last year. I think I’ll take a year or two off and do other things instead of watching the Rams lose every week. I’m sure my wife will be thrilled with the news.

I hope we don't have the same problem.

I’m not sure my TV can take any more random objects being thrown at it.

THIS year's the year. I hope....

I blame Kyle Turley

Who knows what kind of voodoo hoodoo he brought with him from ‘Nawlins. Probably still sore after he was washed up as an OT and the staff didn’t convert him to TE or OLB or safety or whatever awesome idea he had cooked up.

Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese." - Coach Bobby Finstock

It's been confirmed

that setterstrom’s injury is not minor. He re-tore his tricep. The Fraley signing looks even better now. Maybe we should consider trading for Gaither soon if J. Smith can’t stay healthy

THIS IS REDICULOUS

success starts with the o line and ours just CAN NOT stay healthy. i spend so much time trying to defend this o line but i give up these guys are bums. i hope to god they prove me wrong

If Rams stay stupid and try again and again at out-of-position players

then losing to injuries is what Rams will always get in return.

You draft small guys, you get lots of injuries – simple. Speed kills quickly while obesity keeps you on the field younger, but takes your life away later when your older. So, for all intents and purposes, draft the fat frackers!

Rams O.L. is jynxed

Reason why I criticized drafting an O.L. in 2nd Rd. and not Okung #1 overall if to select an O.L. in draft. Also, trading Barron (who has been healthy) was a mistake even though replacing him as a starter was necessary.

I fear for the qb’s health!

as for Jason Smith

The jury is still out on him, please dont let him turn out to be another injury pod. I wish we could have traded down in the 2009 draft and jumped on Micheal Oher we could of had the real blind side with addictional picks.
