It's June 1. In addition to dragging your ass back to work, it's also the deadline for the St. Louis Rams to extend FS Oshiomogho Atogwe an RFA tender of almost $7 million or allow him to walk away as a free agent.
There hasn't been much said since the Rams extended Atogwe an initial RFA tender at the lowest possible level, first right of refusal, all while trying to negotiate a long-term contract. Rumors are that contract talks haven't gone very well, but we still don't know whether or not the Rams will extend him the $7 million offer they'd have to in order to keep him for 2010.
We'll know soon enough what the team decides. There's been a strong case made for keeping him, and there are plenty who think the $7 million isn't worth it. Let's take one last pulse of the community. What do you think?
