Kurt Warner will not go Brett Favre on us

Does Kurt Warner get classier as the years go by? He does, and that's no small task considering he's always been one of the league's class acts.

The former St. Louis Rams QB assured everyone that he will spare us the Brett Favre routine and stay retired

Sorry, to all of you that may b holding out hope of a return! I am done and have plenty to do! But, hope to stay involved with fb! we'll see

This week he and his wife provided a St. Louis area single mom and National Guard soldier with a new home

I hope

he sticks with that.
Part of the speculation on his future comes from him not landing a TV gig yet, but I’m not sure that’s a legit concern. He is constantly doing charity work (read: he’s busy) and I don’t think he’s hurting for money.

At this point in time i hope he sticks with that too

but before the draft I would not have minded if he pull a Bret and come back to play for us for a year or two lol and we could retire his number ,

Kurt has been the epitome of what class is all about, unlike most of the rest of the pro athletes and with their guns and posse’s

If practice makes perfect....
Yet nobodies perfect.....
Then why practice ???

I cannot compliment this wonderful man enough.

Geewhiz Kurt, I sure wish you could’ve comeback to play at least one more season for the Rams. I couldn’t think of anyone better to mentor Slammin’ Sammy. I also think you’d be a great QB coach, and maybe head coach someday. If none of the networks hire you, it’s their loss. They gotta have their Boomers, Strahans and Jimmy Johnsons for comic relief.

What an upstanding guy.

Just can’t say enough about what a great guy we all thing Kurt is. A true role model!

It would be great

if he would do what so many great players do and sign a ceremonial contract with the Rams so he can retire as a Ram. That would be terrific.

I once had a 'political' cartoon of Kurt Warner and Mike Martz sitting at Martz's desk ...

… posted on the wall in my office.

It shows Kurt looking kinda confused with several suitcases sitting on the floor around him with words on them like “MVP”, “SuperBowl MVP” “Pro Bowl”, etc … and Martz is saying “I’m sorry Kurt, we’re gonna have to let you go. You just have too much baggage.”

I used to get so mad at Martz with the way he handled Warner/Bulger. With Warner in, they’d call 7 running plays all game. With Bulger in, they’d call 50% running plays. It really seemed like Martz simply wanted Warner out. I don’t get it.

One time Martz was quoted as saying something like “I trust Kurt so much that when he’s playing we don’t need to run the ball.” Idiot.

Of course, he was also quoted for saying that they didn’t care it they made turnovers. I’m so glad we don’t have him anymore. He’s upside was not worth his downside (at least as a head coach).

I can take a beating ... I'm a Rams fan.

He was the perfect OC for the Rams

at the perfect point in their history. He knew how to use all the weapons the Rams had that year, and helped take us to the Super Bowl win. Unfortunately, Vermeil retired and Martz didn’t know how to be a head coach. If Dickie had stayed around and kept Martz as OC, we might have won the second SB as well, and had a better team on down the road due to better drafts than Martz gave us.

But he was really nuts

he got in a fight with both Zigmund and Shaw and basicaly said on live TV screw them the owner told me I can be a coach here as long as I want lol, he was really a megalomaniac wanted to even coach a game from the hospital ha ha ha of course he was fired soon after those remarks, mad Mike was a character that’s for sure

He needs to go into the Hall of Fame as soon as possible.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.
