Rams WR Mardy Gilyard robbed at gunpoint
We've heard the inspiring story of the St. Louis Rams newest receiver, from living in his car, working his way back into school to getting a shot at his NFL dreams. Gilyard got an footnote for his biography last night when he and another man were robbed at gunpoint in Cincinnati.
He lost a $500 chain and $90 in cash. Fortunately, he didn't try to test his YAC skills by outrunning a speeding bullet.
[Note by VanRam, 05/18/10 12:43 PM EDT ] And why was Gilyard not in St. Louis for OTAs, you ask? He can't participate, per NFL rules, until his graduating class finishes the semester, which doesn't happen at the University of Cincinnati until June 16.

HAHAHA...
guess i didn’t realize that was prison striped orange uniforms.
Just happy Mardy's ok...
…too often little stick-ups like these turn into tragedy. It pisses me off that the guy is just graduating and gets robbed because he’s there to handle it. Just has to be more careful I guess, but once he’s dodging NFL tacklers, this will be a distant memory.

With how bad we've been...
…I’ll settle for some YAC. Anything more and I’ll think I have to pay extra for Sunday Ticket. Lol.
