Westbrook will visit Washington
RB Brian Westbrook, who passed a physical with the Rams recently, was on the team's radar as a backup to Steven Jackson.

I'd actually be fairly happy
if Westbrook went to washington and we were able to pick up the odd man out there. Willie Parker, Clinton Portis or Larry Johnson.
That makes no sense...
They just signed Larry Johnson and immediately after, they sign Willie Parker. They already said they had no intention on parting with Portis. Is Larry Johnson movin to FB????
Is Washington collecting veteran RBs?
Not like I expected westbrook to join the rams because he probably wants to join a contending team and the whole turf issue but still what is washington doing?
If we couldn't sign Westbrook...
What makes you think we will sign any other good free agent? I don’t believe Westbrook didn’t want to play for us, because at the end of that day, it’s about money. I’m sure Devaney offered him some lame contract that made him think for 3 seconds if he would take it. Look at how they are treating Atogwe and he already plays for us!!!

We didn’t offer him a contract. On the Attogwe thing he got a sholder injury pulled hernia/groin and for some reason he want’s to be paided 7 million a year even though he’s injury prone why over pay for him

You know what...
You ate right. Atogwe is hurt, why pay him! Steven Jackson has a bum back. When contract time comes up, why pay him?? Drew Brees had a bum shoulder, why in the hell would the Saints pay him?? Brady has a bum knee! Why would the Pats pay him?? Guess what…Bradford HAS a bun shoulder and hasn’t played football in over a year.WHY PAY HIM??
I know why they pay these people…BECAUSE EVERYONE IN THE NFL GETS HURT! It’s not about injuries, but how well you perform when healthy. Get a clue.

I'm not saying don't pay Atogwe
But your point makes no sense. Atogwe is supposedly injured now. With the exception of SJax all the others you listed are healthy now. Suppose Atogwe never recovers from his injuries (i’m not saying that will happen but just suppose) should we pay him for not playing? If SJax is still injured when his contract comes up and its enough of a concern then damn right he shouldn’t get a huge contract. Now personally i’m on the side of getting Atogwe signed up to end his career with the Rams but you can’t tell someone to “get a clue” when they bring up a legitimate concern. Sometimes sentiment rules the head when it comes to one of a teams favourite players

But that's the whole point....
It’s not a legitimate concern. Is this a career threatening injury? Hell no! So why be hesitant to sign him???

I wouldn't put Atogwe in any of those guy's company
If he was an All Pro, a Superbowl winning QB, or destinied for the HOF I would probably pay him and trust he will be back strong. But Atogwe is none of those, his injury comes at a bad time because he’s probably only got 3 or 4 good years left (he’ll be 29 when the season starts) and guys coming off injury are often signed for less money or not resigned at all, depending on how bad he was hurt.
I’m not saying they should let him walk, but who knows what his health status is (he got hurt real late in the season and hasn’t played since)

I agree, why pick up anybody worth anything.
I mean it’s not like we were 1-15 last year or anything. I am sick and tired of people coming up with excuses like"Westbrook is too old" or “Willie Parker is sucks, why would we want him?” Between the way the draft went, total inactivity in free agency and giving a starting caliber tackle (I didn’t say top notch starter) away for a situational OLB. Wow! I can honestly say I am pi$$ed off to the max! I see some of the sunshine blowers have had enough too. Good to see you have stopped making excuses for the mismanagement of our team.
He's just in DC for some PR stuff at a high school.
Might be just swingin by Ashburn to visit McNabb and see if he can raise more interest [read: money] by acting like he’ll try out for the team. I was going to Fanshot this yesterday but I figured it was more fluff than news. If he signs with DC I’ll be 100% shocked. ’Skin back feild is starting to resemble the Flying Hellfish more and more evey day.
