THe St. Louis Rams added their second tight end of the 2010 NFL Draft with the first pick of the sixth round. Fendi Onubon didn't play much as a TE in college at Houston, because he spent the four years prior playing D1 hoops for Arizona.
Onubon is a pure project, but the league has a couple big names that say a lot about players making the transition from basketball to TE, Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates.
At 6'7" he's got the size you like in a TE, and his CBS scouting report says he looks natural as a receiver.
He posted a 4.45 second 40 time.
This could be an interesting pick.
The Rams have four more picks left, one more in the 6th round. The biggest remaining needs are RB and OLB. And what about safety?
