What number will Sam Bradford wear?
Sam Bradford, the St. Louis Rams new QB, will wear the number 8 on his uniform.
His college number, 14, is currently occupied by WR Keenan Burton.
Why 8? Maybe someone will find out when he meets with the media in St. Louis at 3 p.m. this afternoon.

I like 8
One of my lucky numbers, my daughter was born on August 8th back in the 80’s (I know I am now aging myself).
Anybody know who the other Rams who wore 8 were?
I'm suprised
most times people will buy a number off a guy.

I know I am reading way too much into this....
but since I want to love Bradford now that he is our franchise QB, the spin I put on it is:
-Bradford is so classy that he doesn’t want to disrespect someone already in the league by demanding his number from college. Even though he will have around $50mil in the bank, he doesn’t think he is entitled to anything.
Again, I know that is probably an overstatement, but I do think him being willing to take another number shows the maturity and non-diva attitude that you would hope he would have.
I like it you should do this more often when bad things happen and we need a really good postive spin on things

Its fate!
I’m the 8th child of two 88 year olds. I was born with 8 fingers and 8 toes and I ate 8 white castles for lunch. My 8 octuplets were all born at 9:28 (also known as 8:88) on 8/8/1988.
I’m just joking…I really have 9 toes :(
I was never crazy about this shift in positional numbers in the first place...
single digits and the teens should be left to QB’s and kickers…what was wrong with WR’s and TE’s wearing numbers in the 40’s and 80’s? Now, it’s too confusing.
Hopefully he wears 6.
It’s a serious number.
"And on the first day of Spring, number one has fallen."
Okay folks, I know the answer as to why he picked #8...
A few days just before this draft Gil Brandt, an NFL scout, was asked what he thought about Sam Bradford and his answer was Sam Bradford’s pro day workout is the best he’s seen by NFL prospect since Troy Aikman.
Also there’s been a lot of comparisons mabe of these two quarterbacks and both were selected number one in an NFL draft. Troy was number one in 1989 and they are both from Oklahoma. So it’s just possible Troyu Aikmen is Sam Bradfords idle. Aikman’s Jersey number was 8.
Go Rams!

PS. Do I win a prize for knowing the anwser?

Devaney was said to have mentioned the same similarity via ESPN just now
According to hearsay, BD said SB reminds him of Aikman
PS-you beat me to it so yes you get the prize.
One more thing...
If you go to this website it has a great Pepsi commercial video clip done by Troy Aikman (he’s wearing his #8 Jersey). Take a look at it, it’s cool.
Go Rams!

Oops!!! Fraudian slip, not Pepsi, it was a Coke-Cola ad.
Sorry about that.

he will win 3 super bowls with jackson
and when jackson leaves, he will struggle for a bit until we get a new hotshot running back and he will change his number to 24 and win another. sounds good to me!
How about #26?
The 26th rated player in the draft. Denver = DUMB!
At least Rams did not win worst pick of first round, well, at least noy when based on money!
SAMMY

Keenan Burton, Ha I would release him just to give Sam his number. That’s how much he means to the team. Bradford has the mannerisms of a sloth. I hope he can take control of the team. His personality really does remind me of Elaine Manning, I hope I don’t have to call him Samantha Bradford! Sam, glad to have you on the team! Sam-head down, speaking very slowly and softly "I guess I might be happy to be here or something". Here comes the most dreaded of all lines…To think that we could have had Suh and Clausen for the price of Bradford. Oh boy. Ok I am done picking. Hope we have a good rest of the draft. GO RAMS!
