Holy trades Batman! The first round has had all kinds of surprises so far. Is Jacksonville's pick the biggest surprise?

What about Ryan Matthews getting picked 12th overall?

i dont know if im the only one

but he didnt look too thrilled about being picked by the rams. Or maybe thats just how he is

Sam Bradford

by Jombari on Apr 22, 2010 8:17 PM CDT up reply actions

he looked happy on the phone

might still be irked he didnt hear sooner

by RamsFan7 on Apr 22, 2010 8:18 PM CDT up reply actions

i thought he looked pretty happy

to be the number one pick in the draft. don’t know how he felt about being part of The Rams Organization.

i want to move

back into the first round. also if we could move up for clausen, if I didn’t hate clausen i would wonder if the browns are still interested in trading

Keith Null won't accept my friend requests.

by loyal2therams on Apr 22, 2010 8:14 PM CDT reply actions

Why would we need Clausen?

If we trade back in, it’s for either Weatherspoon or Bryant, I think.

No, its done. Lets not get stupid

Unless of course, we got their next two drafts which was reported earlier :)

Sam Bradford

by Jombari on Apr 22, 2010 8:16 PM CDT up reply actions

I'm not sure i even would want that

it’s time to take a necessary risk and start developing a qb

by RamsFan7 on Apr 22, 2010 8:17 PM CDT up reply actions

was just dreaming of

clausen, haden, and the browns 1st or 2nd next year…but I think it has to be bradford and not clausen anyways

will be on the trading block now, 4th rounder? 5th?

Weird first round

I like it.

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

by RamsFan7 on Apr 22, 2010 8:23 PM CDT up reply actions

doubt it

they still have benny. don’t think they will be able to trade him

by Ramfan from Seattle on Apr 22, 2010 8:24 PM CDT up reply actions

just wanted to see what everyone thought

Plus they have Leftwich, Batch and Dixon along with big ben. Highly unlikely unless they feel hes just too good to pass up

I guess we'll get Dezzy Dez Dez Bryant.

That’s fine by me. Dezzy Dez Dez and Iron Sam would be a pretty tight class for this first night (that’s if we do decide to trade back in, or if he somehow falls to Round 2).

I doubt it

I think the boldin move solidifies their WR

by RamsFan7 on Apr 22, 2010 8:48 PM CDT up reply actions

And Stallworth might be good

But he’s a huge question mark. I think they’d rather improve D.

by Carneros on Apr 22, 2010 8:51 PM CDT up reply actions

don't count it out

I could see them adding Bryant to pair with Boldin for Wacko Flacco

there's going to be way

too much talent for the rams to trade down

by RamsFan7 on Apr 22, 2010 9:35 PM CDT up reply actions

Isn't it the opposite?

If there’s a bunch of talent, trade down and you’ll still get someone good. You pick if the talent drops off.

would the Rams still have darfted Bradford

if they had of know Clausen would fall this far? Wonder what it would have taken to move up just 4 or 5 spots back into the first round ? They could have had Suh and Clausen.

But I was sure we’d get a QB worthy with the 33rd.

a tweet from Ramsgab.com

Lions trade GREAT for Rams if both QBs drop to 2nd round… QB-needy teams will have to trade up to #33 to get their QB.

by dbacks4life on Apr 22, 2010 9:48 PM CDT reply actions

I agree. We’re on a excellent position.

by dbcouver on Apr 22, 2010 9:49 PM CDT reply actions

Ugh.

Could have had Suh AND McCoy/Clausen. Why?

Jeff Jordan's dad can beat up your dad.

by flipthebird15 on Apr 22, 2010 9:49 PM CDT up reply actions

No way you can predict who's gonna go where

We could have picked Suh and Clausen and McCoy could have gone earlier than expected and then we find ourselves with no QB. We had to bite on a QB if we couldn’t trade down and thats what we did. I for one am happy with what we got and Hopefully we’ll have a brighter future because of it

by Stonedtodeath on Apr 22, 2010 9:54 PM CDT up reply actions

What is this? Little Orphan Annie

We would have Suh. Then the sun could shine out MY ass right now.

by dbcouver on Apr 22, 2010 9:59 PM CDT up reply actions

Ha ha

Unless your ass could throw the ball i’m not sure that’d halp that much. I’d have loved Suh too but either way we got a quality football player. No point wishing for something that we haven’t got. Time to move on.

by Stonedtodeath on Apr 22, 2010 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Anyone remember

the game detroit had against cleveland and stafford seperated his shoulder and then came back on the field and threw the winning touchdown, to me thats why the rams needed to take a qb this year

by RamsFan7 on Apr 22, 2010 9:50 PM CDT reply actions

that same day

Bulger broke his leg in the second qrt of the game and went on to finish the game with a broken leg. nobody said shit about that but that’s pretty f-ing tough.

He’s what I’d pick for them

by dbcouver on Apr 22, 2010 9:52 PM CDT up reply actions

Wow a few picks ago

I thought a lot of guys were going to fall to us, and since pick 24, 6 players I really wanted are now gone. I don’t feel quite as good about it now, but there’s still lots of talent there.

by Carneros on Apr 22, 2010 9:55 PM CDT reply actions

Theres always Griffen

At this point I’d be a little disappointed if we didn’t trade down.

by dbcouver on Apr 22, 2010 10:00 PM CDT up reply actions

we should trade with someone who needs QB

Vikings going below us gives us good leverage

like – “Well, you could get this guy, but do you really want to risk the Vikings taking him”

We should draft him

and trade him to Cleveland for a couple picks

by dbcouver on Apr 22, 2010 10:06 PM CDT reply actions

CLE already said no way on clausen

maybe they will reconsider considering hes fallen that far

Sam Bradford

by Jombari on Apr 22, 2010 10:07 PM CDT up reply actions

I like that idea

Kindle would be great but he’s not the ideal OLB for us. I’d like Griffen and another pick. Then get a TE, OLB, and maybe Linval Joseph in the next couple rounds.
