wouldn't the manning/rivers trade be a blueprint for possible rams/skins trade?
back in 2004 the chargers had the 1st overall pick and the giants had the 4th overall pick. that is the same positions the rams and skins find themselves. the chargers ended up getting the giants 1st round in 04/4th overall (rivers), their 1st round pick the following year (used the pick for merriman), the giants 3rd round pick in 04 (used for kaeding) and a player (roman oben). this seems pretty fair to use as a comp. for us and the skins if we pull of a trade and that trade worked out pretty well for both teams. in review we would swap 1st rounders, pick up their 1st rounder next year, 3rd rounder this year (or comparable value picks), and a useful player who can contribute immediately.

it turns out the skins don't have a 3rd this year...
but i’d take their 4th this year and next year instead.
yeah
We had already talked about that possibility

It reminded me of the Falcons/Chargers trade in 2001 (Vick).
one injury his whole career & now he's injury prone?
Tired of seeing the NON-medical staff make mindless comments. Tell me Dr, why do you think his repaired shoulder is susceptible to another injury?
a bit scary?
i am not the one who suggested that bradford is susceptible to another shoulder injury, however it must at least be a concern, given the $45-50 million guranteed money.
Absolutely
its a concern but ANY player can get injured and anyone picked number 1 is gonna have alot of money invested in them.

I think the Dr said there has never been a recurrence of this particular surgical repair
Just sayin.
The blind stares of a million pairs of eyes, lookin hard but won't realize, that they'll never see the C. And when I'm rollin by, you can't see me!

Thank you,
the only reason it was an injury in the first place was the akwardness of the way he landed & less to do w/him being prone to injury.
How is that different than non-football people saying Bradford is our best option?
Yes, I actually wore a watermelon on my head during the Rams SuperBowl victory in 2000.
Some non-football people say Bradford is our best option
But a ton more football people also say Bradford is our best option.
thanks, I'm an fng (freakin' new guy) here but
in my defense that was a topic from almost three whole weeks ago. In NFL draft rumor/conjecture world that is like something that happened in the ice age on out timeline

win win
that scenario would be, in a word, perfect. clausen is, if nothing else, more NFL ready than bradford and at the 7 spot, he would cost FAR LESS! i do think, after reviewing available players, that this is indeed a deep draft. the browns have a ton of picks inside the top 100 and in this scenario—which i believe is entirely plausible—the rams should try to secure their 2nd and 3rd picks this year as well as their 1st next year.
