My question re: Carr
Did Carr ruin Carr, or was it the record sack totals that ruined Carr?

i'd go with the latter
But if our offensive line can’t stay healthy when we need them the most this year we are going to have our own david carr on our hands

I think I can answer that
If your team goes out and grabs a back-up (Schaub – ATL) to run you out of town and then the next year you can only get a job because a starter gets injuried (Delhomme – CAR). Then during that time, you yourself get hurt, and the only other available QB is Grandpa Simpson (Testaverde). So then you get released and the only job you can find is as a backup, not to play but just to replace Chunk from the Goonies (Lorenzen – NYG). Now you’re fighting for a starting job with Busta Bust (Smith – SF)… Yea, Carr ruined Carr.
A few things here
Schaub was regarded in the league as more than just a “back up”. I remeber that when Vick got hurt he came in and played exceptionaly for 2-3 games. Teams were constantly looking to acquire him and Atl wouldn’t let him go. Then when they finally pull the trigger and make the move, Vick is later arrested a month and a half later and you know the rest.
Carr played behind the worst Offensive line I think I have seen in the last decade. That was a bad situation that no QB should have been in.
As for NY, they actually wanted to keep him, yet going to SF provided a better opportunity (Alex Smith???) and the fact that they actually have a LT in Staley.
By the way Carr had a hot wife, there is a couple points in that.
Well shit
Give me $44M so I can blame my shitty play as an NFL QB on the given O-line, plus I’ll show you my hot wife.
oh just show us your hot wife anyway

Ask Bulger about what a shit line did for him...
obviously you didn’t watch any of Houston’s games or you wouldn’t be throwing out such a dumb comment! Believe it or not shitty O-line impacts a QB.
I'll agree w/ you 100% Cali
I think Carr was a really good QB that was pummeled behind one of the worst OLines ever. And no one can make the argument that a good QB would have found a way to rise above that. even the Payton Mannings of the world need a little time to make a throw as it takes a WR a little time to get down field.
Moving to SF is almost guaranteeing a starting role for Carr. the whinners are wasting what they have in Gore by using alex smith. where with Carr they can actually play in a true NFL style of offense, using the RB, TE, and WR. instead of limiting your play to just the TE and WR.

when they don’t have to be explained to you. Granted, it took me two days to figure it out myself.
