TST Community Mock Draft: Pick 22

Hey, you didn't think we forgot about the TST Community Mock Draft did you? Nah.

It's time for pick #22, and here representing the New England Patriots is 3k.

With the 22nd pick in the draft, the New England Patriots select Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma.

You could argue this is New England's biggest need with Ben Watson gone and the window closing on Brady and Moss to make one last run through the AFC. It makes this a relatively easy pick. I did mock Sergio Kindle here less than a month ago, but that would just be boring to make the same pick, so I'll take Gresham (Brandon Graham gets a 5% probability here, BTW).

VanRam: Not bad for the Daniel Fells consolation prize, huh? The Pats had the league's most effective offense last year with a 29.6% DVOA according to Football Outsiders. Gresham packs that offense with even more potential. In all likelihood, the Pats will trade this pick down, trade the return on the trade and trade some more...and still come away, somehow, with just the players they need. Everyone should have such faith in systems.

And solid analysis, 3k. You really have a good feel for the Patriots and the momentum behind the available prospects at this point.

You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands.
