Falcons dump CB Tye Hill
At least the Rams finally got a 7th round pick for him. That 2006 draft just keeps getting better and better.

"The Falcons signed former Colts and Packers safety Matt Giordano in a corresponding move"
Nice to see Giordano still sticking around. He played at the high school my son attended, and I always like to see the local kids getting opportunities.
Its worth noting that Hill did well at the Senior Bowl and combine, and (almost like Leaf) almost everyone thought he was a can’t miss propspect. Not to excuse a draft where where you blow 5 picks in the first 3 rounds…I’m just sayin, he fooled a lot of people. Setterstrom was a good 7th rounder in 2006, you know, as 7th rounders go.
(the linked page has out of date critique, but it’s not entirely inaccurate)
The blind stares of a million pairs of eyes, lookin hard but won't realize, that they'll never see the C. And when I'm rollin by, you can't see me!

!["He [Tye Hill] has pretty much recovered from his knee injury. He had a cyst on his knee he had removed and moved around much better after that. He looked pretty good on the practice field and got almost all of the repetitions with the first team defense. That said and he’d be the first to tell you this if you asked him, he knows he needs to prove himself when the lights come on. This is an important training camp and season for him. Steve Spagnuolo has pulled a lot out of some defensive backs with potential in the past, though. Look what he did for Corey Webster in New York last season."
