You called it 3k

Hero
like the Jet Li epic or like the poorly produced Dustin Hoffman kind?
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

Seeing as it was an evil prediction I'm gonna say it's the latter.
:P
The pressure is officially starting to peak. Let’s see what Billy D and Spags do under it.

if Bradford's it
I hope everyone saying no on him is honest enough to admit they didn’t want him.
Believe me...
…I’ll admit it whether he becomes a Hall of Famer or he busts. I’ll probably be more emphatic if he busts, especially if Suh becomes the player I think he’s gonna be.

Everyone brings up that we passed on Stafford and Sanchez
I missed the pro bowl and the past 2 rookie of the year ceremonies.. so they must have done great things. Sucks we passed on them.

Yeah seriously!
There’s so much hope around those franchises huh? It totally has nothing to do with New York’s #1 defense or Detroit’s #2 pick right?
It’s all about my fellow Trojan and that awesome QB in the Motor City.
Hey, it’s not like old ass Marc Bulger and his JV corps had a better rating. Wait…

Both of them mocked
Suh

well. . .
Jack Youngblood or Bart Star?
Reggie White or John Elway?
Warren Sapp or Bret Favre?
Haloti Gnata or Tom Brady?
Bruce Smith or Joe Montana?
or maybe Ryan Pickett? Jimmy Kennedy, maybe?
Just a couple questions guys? That’s all…no more, no less. Just remember who you voted for come week 10.
Umm...
…exactly what do Ryan Pickett or Jimmy Kennedy have to do with Ndamukong Suh. No disrespect, but the silliest argument someone can bring up when it comes to prospects is : “well, player x at y position busted, so this new player z at y position is going to bust.”
If that’s the case, then Bradford might as well be Alex Smith, Jamarcus Russell, and Ryan Leaf. See how silly the logic is?

Your argument could be used against you!
Think about those DT’s. Some went to the Superbowl with not the best QB’s!
Jack Youngblood played in the Superbowl with…Vince Ferragamo!
Warren Sapp won the Superbowl with…Brad Johnson!!
Bruce Smith played in multiple Superbowls, and Reggie White won with Favre.
Upon further review
Were you really making an argument…or was I just blabbing?
Time for bed…
and my argument
was that would you rather have guys who played in and Lost or only won once in the SB or would you rather have that QB who can take you to the promised land multiple times
valid enough...
however that doesn’t preclude every other name i mentioned….
and for the record I am NOT anti-Suh. I am just saying would you rather have a potential starte (and maybe another Lombardi trophy) at QB for the next 10-12 years or one at DT. provided either of them pan out. and the same argument applies to all the anti-Bradford folks in connection to Leaf ""well, player x at y position busted, so this new player z at y position is going to bust." Bradford will be Good, will he be great? Don’t know yet. I feel the same about Suh, and McCoy as well (both of them btw) I do think however that a 10-12yr starter at QB is better than one at DT. Especially when the ceiling is as high as it is with Bradford. The possibility to hit the super bowl is higher with a ‘franchise’ QB than with a great DT. ask the Eagles about Reggie White. that’s why he went to green bay to play with Favre.
This has been the pick for a long time I think this team has to take the quaterback
And Bradfords the Guy . We just need to make sure we front miss on the other picks.

We will undoubtedly be arguing this for a long time.
However, I don’t think the Rams brass are worrying about what we say. They are going to check everyone out as well as they can, and pick the guy they think is right. Whether that is Bradford, Suh or McCoy, let’s hope they get it right.
In addition to talent evaluation, I hope they start negotiating with the agents for all three of them in advance of the draft. If one of them appears to be outrageous in their demands, and their guy could end up holding out, that could have an impact on who we draft as well. They need to have their guy locked up in advance so they don’t get any nasty surprises.
Reasons the Rams won't draft Bradford.
A new owner want results ASAP to show that the team is turning the corner. You won’t get that by drafting Bradford, you might get it by drafting Suh. A dominant DT is less dependent on his supporting cast than as dominant QB. And I’m sure Spags is well aware that teams that draft QB’s with the first pick usually do it for their next head coaches benefit, not the current one. Not many head coaches (or GM’s) survive long enough to see their first pick QB have have success on their respective teams. So if I’m the Rams staff, I’m locked on Suh or trading down in the draft.
Here's why this comment is off base.
Khan is a Rams fan. He goes to games…watches them on tv. He’s not some corporation who is buying the team as an asset.
Also, he’s a successful businessman. He’s built a company he used to work for into a multi-billion, international company.
What I’m trying to say is…..he’s not an idiot.
He understand the state of the Rams. He’s not going to come in on day one and make unrealistic demands. And why does Suh guarantee immediate success or measurable improvement?
Honestly, I would think, if nothing else, as a fan he’s wanting to have that franchise Quarterback that this franchise so desperately needs. A Defensive Tackle is great, but not a difference maker long term.
When he finally takes over (which really isn’t anytime soon), you won’t be seeing drastic changes. Instead, you’ll see things play out the way they are right now because the organization as a whole believes in the philosophy that was put into place barely 1 year ago.

Let me just kick a couple of thoughts around.
I’m sure some of you saw that Gil Brandt, long time Cowboys exec, has said Bradford is the best QB prospect coming into the pros since Peyton Manning. I was listening to the Bernie Miklasz show today ahd he quoted another guy who knows most of the NFL team GMs and coaches, has dinner with them, and calls them regularly to ask about things. He apparently contacted the offensive coordinator of one of the NFL teams recently to ask about Bradford. The response from this OC was the same as that of Brandt – Bradford is the best QB prospect since P. Manning.
I know quite a few guys are worried about the injury situation with Bradford, and some just think we should build the defense first regardless. Both are valid positions, no question about it. However, in 2009 nine of the top 10 passing teams in the league made the playoffs, and ten of the top twelve. You almost have to be able to pass to win in this league today, and the Rams can’t do it right now. I suspect if you put together the feeling that you have to be able to pass to be a consistent success, and that Bradford is rated so highly by many experts in the league, you end up coming to the conclusion the Rams will take Bradford if he checks out on March 25.
I hope they take either Bradford or Suh, and I’m not qualified to say which would be more successful. I suspect both will, and I will be happy either way.
Passing is more important than people give it credit.
Personally, I believe a great ground game is where seasons are won and lost, but the passing game has so much to do with the success of the running game.
If we could have been a legitimate threat this year to pass the ball constantly, Steven Jackson might have broken records.
