NFL superbowl "Thank You" commercial

How stupid does the NFL think its loyal fans are?  They claim in the commercial as if we are there greatest asset, which we are.   If they loved us oh so dearly there would be no possibility of a lockout in 2011.  The commercial said thank you to the best fans in the world.  So from all of us here at TST lets all say to the NFL,  IF YOU ARE SO GRATEFUL TO US FANS GET A NEW CBA!

Exactly.

And I’m not sure “agreeing” just to “agree” so there’s no work stoppage accomplishes anything unless you want all power to go to one side (which is not good for the fans).

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

Pillow Commercial

In the commercial they thanked us for being the best fans in the world. When the NFL connects to fans this way it is an attempt to soften the blow of a work stoppage. Calling us the greatest fans in the world, which we are, and thanking us is a mere ploy to try to hold on to us through the hard times, a.k.a. a work stoppage.

Don't you think at least part of your anger

should be aimed at the players as well as the owners and execs? I’m real tired of players like Peppers getting $18 million and saying they aren’t respected and want out. The only people saying there will be a lockout so far are the players, and they are using it to try to make us angry at the owners to pressure them into a settlement that’s better for the players. There’s nothing wrong with that strategy, but we don’t need to accept it at face value. We need to tell both sides to shape up and get a new contract done.

Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
