Rams to meet with CFL sack leader this week
Hmmm, is there a conspiracy afloat? The links between the St. Louis Rams and Canada keep growing. First, the Rams have draft Canadian free safety Oshiomogho Atogwe. Then, a buyer with Toronto connections enters the bidding process to own the team, and now the Rams are scheduled to meet with the CFL's sack leader, DE Ricky Foley. Someone call the kids from South Park, or the team led by John Candy in Michael Moore's 1995 flop Canadian Bacon.
Foley collected 12 sacks last season playing for the BC Lions. The Jets recently met with Foley, and he's on the agenda for the Patriots tomorrow with his Rams meeting scheduled some time this week. The Packers also have interest.
Which of these things is not like the other? All of those teams, except for the Rams, run a 3-4 defense, and would use the 6'4" 245 lbs Foley as an pass rushing OLB. How would he fit with the Rams? I suppose they're thinking of Foley as an OLB as well, probably on the weakside.
Maybe the team can use their recent Canadian connections to lure Foley to camp, eh? I admit to needing another Canada joke besides "eh," eh?

Way too small to play 4-3 D-End
So for the Rams I’m pretty sure it’d have to be OLB or nothing.
I don’t think the difference between OLB’s in a 4-3 or 3-4 are very dramatic. DE and OLB is whole nuther story.

This could be a guy that can add 15 - 20 pounds and make a decent impact
there would be a big learning curve though maybe not worth it but hell I would give anything a shot right now
Why is patience a virtue and procrastination a sin...I mean whats wrong with patiently procrastionating?

RAMS AND CANADA
Interesting move. Many great players came from the CFL so I can’t see a problem with bringing players from there. Foley is decent sized, we need somebody who can chase the qb and tackle him besides Leonard Little who maybe has 1 or 2 good years left. Im for whatever makes the team a contender without bringing in criminals, save them for the PENAL LEAGUES,

With no cap,
how much money will we be able to bring in if the team is in Toronto? The Blue Jays don’t exactly how a big market, but maybe that’s because that’s baseball and people in Canada don’t care that much about the MLB.
They call me the cloud, because I make it rain.

Why compare to MLB?
Think NHL…. biggest revenue of any NHL team out there

With a un-capped year next year I could see this becoming a league wide trend...
The CFL will not have any restricted free agents next year
