I am being completely honest when I say I have not talked to anyone in Tampa Bay. I'm not saying that won't happen at some point but to date there is absolutely nothing going on.

Devaney is a gangstarr
What other GM quotes Scarface?
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.
And something I found interesting
We will not use the combine to change our grades on a player.
Truth?

Yea I saw that
I guess that’s a good thing. Grading them on football ability and not how combine times, although I’d argue that combine matters since it measures athletic ability which is kind of important. Devaney is the anti-Davis I guess..
He also clearly said on the local ESPN station today
that they have had telephone contact with none of the other teams yet. In fact he went further and said he didn’t think any teams were talking with each other yet. It is just too early for them to be talking about trades involving draft picks.
I thought it was interesting that when he talked about going to pro days on campuses and the scheduling problems caused by players who have their own separate pro days, he talked exclisively about QBs.
He also answered a question about Tebow and his current efforts to change his throwing style. Devaney said it isn’t that easy, expecially when you have as many changes to make as Tebow. He said you can always do it right in practice, but when the bullets start flying on Sunday during the regular season, he will revert to his college form. I thought he was sending a pretty clear message that the Rams are not interested in Tebow, partly because he is just too long term a project.
I'm pretty sure nobody's interested in Tebow
as their QB. At least any team with any sense…

I think any team that would take Tebow
would be looking at him as a long term project. They would have to have a good current QB who will be fine as the starter for another two or three years while Tebow relearns how to throw the ball and play QB in the pros. He does have some things to offer, but he won’t be much help for the next couple of years.
