Pasquarelli: Rams scouts "are becoming increasingly convinced" Suh is the best player in the draft.
Via RotoWorld: ESPN's Len Pasquarelli reports that Rams scouts "are becoming increasingly convinced" that Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh is the best player in the draft.
Pasquarelli acknowledges that it's a "relatively close call" between Suh and Oklahoma DT Gerald McCoy, but the Rams reportedly believe that Suh has the potential to make Chris Long and Adam Carriker better. Drafting Suh to play the "three technique" position next to NT Cliff Ryan might allow the Rams to move Carriker out to end on early downs, helping the team's run defense. Carriker, though, wouldn't be a big sack threat rushing off the edge.

didn't they say the same thing about Curry
last year?

I think they said Curry was "one of"
the top players, but not that he was number one. It was posters on here saying he was the number one. This time is differernt since they are saying Suh is number one.
Plus, it was his athleticism
that catapulted him. Suh is being kept at the top of the draft pyramid for technique and strength. Curry was more in the Gholston camp of freaky athleticism.
You don't seem to want to accept the fact you're dealing with an expert in guerrilla warfare, with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. A man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke. In *St. Louis* his job was to dispose of enemy personnel. To kill! Period! Win by attrition. Well, *Steven Jackson* was the best.

We can't rule out that this is all a smokescreen though...
…I mean, as happy as this news can make me feel as a Suh lover, there’s no guarantee he’ll be taken 1 anyway because we may not take the best player. We may just be spicing things up for Tampa to take the bait.

Last year the Rams bought Mark Sanchez a plane ticket to St. Lou. Then they drafted Jason Smith.
Believe nothing. Unless you want to.
Carriker did play DE in college, so that part of it isn’t so unbelievable at least.
