I think Denver wants to move [TE Tony] Scheffler nonetheless, and probably would take less than the second rounder he would fetch with an original tender as a second-round draft pick.

This would be a nice pick up for the Rams, unless they think they can get Jermaine Gresham with their second round pick. That's a big IF.

want to miss out on another JL… we do have the33rd pick. I think it would depend on who is the QB next year and whether Laurent Robinson can stay healthy, for I doubt Scheffler would have helped very much this year.

cuz i thought Gresham was not a good blocker at all, and you’d want your TE to be able to. But Scheffler is basically a wide out, so i’m going to ASSUME that he isn’t a good blocker either

I like the idea of TE in the draft

But personally I have other plans for the #33 pick. Hopefully Devaney agrees.

Look at what we don’t have
a QB
a decent CB (sorry Bartell)
a DE
a run stuffing DT
a RG

I don't think he's a blocker but

I don’t care!!! We have blocking TE’s already. We need another weapon, not a grunt. I’ve heard the same thing about Gresham. If we can get Tony for a 3rd or even 4th, pull the trigger, but don’t use a 2nd on him. We have too many critical needs to use a 2nd on a TE.

think about it we can complete are linebackers in one draft by grabbing weatherspoon in the second and muckelroy in the third who wouldnt like that????

if weatherspoon is there for us in the second round

he is definitely an option, but I just don’t see him surviving that late first round

With the way he played in the Senior Bowl and how he will likely perform in the combine, he will not slip into the second. Too bad ‘cuz I’d love to have him.
