Hot Links!! Git yer Hot Links!!
1) How bad is the state of the 49ers when head coach Mike Singletary announces he will be playing eenie meenie minee moe every week to decide who the starting quarterback will be? I seriously believe that his job is in jeopardy and with all the talent being wasted on that team they should have a better record than they do. Hey Mike!! Just out of curiousity.........is your favorite band The Smiths?
2) Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth is suspended for the remainder of the season. He has openly stated that he doesn't like playing in 3-4 defenses. It's funny how Adam Carriker played in a 4-3 defense here with the Rams and didn't perform and was believed to be a better fit in Washington's scheme. Am I the only Rams fan that is wondering waaaaay back in the back of my head if Haynesworth is too much trouble or would he be delighted to be part of positive environment under Coach Spags in our 4-3? If so, what would we have to give up to get him?
3) Are you tired of Rex Ryans antics and his pearly whites? I know I am! Oh, by the way, Rex? If my wife wanted to be a magazine model, she could be if she tried! I was rooting for the Patriots to give the Jets a beat down and bring Ryan back to earth. Did they? Boy howdy!!
4) What is it with Brett Favre? When was the last time he played in a Super Bowl? It's been 13 years since his Packers lost to the Elway's Broncos. Was Favre the QB when Vince Lombardi was the coach? I can't remember. Why is it that NFL Network, ESPN and FOX Sports needs to continue with their collective man crush with him? To me it seems like all he cares about is his consecutive games streak while the Minnesota Vikings season has fallen apart around him. In my opinion, the Vikes need to put Tarvaris Jackson on the field to see what they have in him before they go into the draft for next year. I can't wait for Favre to ride off into the sunset so these networks will be forced to talk about someone else and maybe the Rams can get a little more face time.
5) As much flak as the Martz-Linehan era has recieved for the bum draft picks we made during those era's, we gotta give Mike Martz and his scouting department kudo's for drafting Ryan Fitzpatrick. He is doing a helluva job and at least one NFL expert is saying that the team should keep him for the quarterback of the future. (Un)fortunately, that team is the Buffalo Bills. I'm not saying in ANY way that I would prefer Fitz over Bradford but at least one of the picks from that era has panned out, even though it's for someone else.
6) Ed Hochuli is at it again. Makes you wonder if the NFL is taking a look at this guy for his penchant for making horrendous calls. He was the referee involved in the "pass interference" call against OJ Atogwe in the overtime loss against the 49ers. Now he is under scrutiny for making that "unnecessary roughness" call against Ndamukong Suh. Don't you sometimes wonder if the league is trying to turn Suh into the next Richie Incognito? Seems like everytime we talk about him is because he did something in a game to lighten the load on his wallet.

ok
I don’t think he would give us too much trouble seeing as the only problem he has in Washington is he doesn’t like playin in the 3-4.
I wouldn’t fork over too much money to get him and since he is some trouble fork over a medium range amout and tell him if he performs then we’ll give him the big bucks and if we can get him then that handles or DE problem.
Gotta be VEEEEEEEERY careful about the money you give Albert...
…but he could be a HUGE boost to our already high-achieving DL. Load his contract with incentives! Put an “act up and you’re gone” clause in there! We could definitely use him!
I wonder if he fits in the 5 pillars thingy?….?….?

it a 4 pillar thing
but with haynesworth there should be a 5th pillar added somewhere. Couldn’t for the life of me think that this guy would be desired by our FO.
The only thing comparable to a Rams win is a 49er loss!
3-4 system whining after being paid 100 million shows this guys character
No offense, I would clean toilets while whistling a happy tune for 100 million dollars…. and I would thank my boss for the opportunity to do so every time I saw him. When someone pays me top dollar to do a job, I do it, no questions asked, to the best of my ability. He isn’t just whining either, he actually has the balls to tell the coaches he refuses to play certain plays etc. This guy is a douche with a major self absorbtion problem. He could care less about keeping himself in shape, he could care less about his team, and he could care less about respecting his coaches. He is a huge HELL NO in my opinion.
Agreed. To take extra money to play the 3-4 and then...
… accuse the Redskins of treating him like a wage slave is just to disguise the fact that he is a lazy fatass that doesnt want to put in the time to be a great football player.
right
He clearly doesn’t play for the love of the game.

The FOX Sports Brett Favre Man Crush continues....
The Rams are on the road this weekend in New Orleans. There were rumblings about this game competing with the Cowboys game to be aired as the Sunday night game but America’s Team got the nod over us.
OK. So you would think that since FOX is keeping the Rams-Saints game we would get to watch it right? Wrong! I just looked on the schedule here in SoCal and were getting the Giants-Vikings game. Yaawwnn! With Favres shoulder injury there is a possibility he might not even play. I’ll bet the St. Louis area gets the game aired!
I'm suffering from an extreme case of laurinaitis!
SoCal won't get the Rams
Until Buck and Aikman announce it. Rams are still stuck with bottom-of-the-barrel announcers for the next while
"I have something 95 percent of all those All-Stars only wish they had: a World Series ring. If I had to choose between that and being an All-Star, it would be no contest. I’d grab the gold ring and never look back." -Tim Salmon
not to rub it in
but the st louis area has had every game this season aired…. nanana bobo… jk
The Vikings game has been pushed back to Monday
due to the big snowstorm in Minneapolis. If you still can’t get the Rams game, it won’t be because of the Vikings game.
see nacho....
even mother nature stepped in and lent a hand to help you watch your rams… that has to be a good sign of whats to come…. right?
You're not gonna believe this..
…Since CBS has the double header this weekend, I figured FOX would show Star Trek The Motion Picture and then come back at 1:00 for the Rams game. WRONG!! Their showing the Packers-Lions game. CBS is showing the Raiders-Jags game at 10:00 and then the Chargers-Cheifs game at 1:00. Why does CBS get it right by showing western division games but FOX just ain’t got a clue?
Screw the NFL, I’m watching the Lakers vs Nets on Channel 9!!
I'm suffering from an extreme case of laurinaitis!
Fox sure chose an exciting, action-packed game, didn't they?
Final score of 7 – 3! Wow, how could they stand the thrills and constant lead changes? Yeah, right.
