Thursday Practice Notes: Uh Oh Joins the Squad
It was a somewhat quiet practice today (that's a GOOD thing!), as the Rams gear up for Sunday night football action against the Seattle Seahawks. Win, and they win the division, and host a playoff game. Lose, and well, you know.
Even though practice was quiet, there was an exciting moment... Uh Oh practiced today in a limited role with the rest of the team, and the Rams are in hopes he will see action Sunday.
Coach Spagnuolo stated, "I just saw a few plays here and there," and also said, "But Reggie (Scott) felt like when he had him alone (Wednesday) that he was ready to get back into practice. Now we've just got to see how it reacts after he gets off the field."
So in other words, will his ankle swell or cause him any trouble after his reps? Only time will tell. If all goes well tomorrow, I would certainly expect Illinois Mike to play Sunday. That would be an incredible boost to the team.
In other news, the Rams held their entire practice outside today in preparation for the atmosphere Sunday night, Qwest Field, which is an outdoor venue.
Wednesday the Rams did spend half of the day outside, where as today, the entire day. They also practiced on both grass and Turf.
Coach Spagnuolo seemed very optimistic about playing on the FieldTurf and stated, "It's nice to have that turf field, that's worked out real good,".

Uh-Oh!!!
A bit off topic, but It was pretty sad. Holt was an analyst for the NFL network yesterday, talking about this weekend’s game. He picked the Rams, and had nothing but good to say about sammy, but he said something like “Who is he throwing to? I don’t even know…Hooma-something? He has no one to throw to, and he gets it done.”
I met Joe Halahuni's parents.....in Alaska. Jealous?
Sad to hear he doesn't pay attention to his former team.
It took a while for Faulk to say anything good about the Rams, Warner admitted he’s closer to the Cards (although I don’t blame him), Holt doesn’t follow them anymore. At least we still have Bruce.

Faulk
Understandable from his point of view. Remember what he had to suffer through: Martz and incompetent owners and GMs who refused to replace the turf at the Ed. Eventually led to the ending of his career, almost led to Warner’s (concussions), and Turley’s (who still hates Martz to this day).
There was a lot of crap behind the scenes
It’s all good when you go to SB’s and win,
but when the wall comes crumbling down…
Number 8 is great
Exactly
unfortunately all of “TGSOT” heroes got treated like dirt by the big guys running the team. I think they all have an affection for each other and the fans but I can’t blame them one bit for still having some bitterness towards the franchise after the way they were treated.
I don't know if you noticed but...
..when Isaac Bruce scored the go ahead touchdown in Super Bowl 34, Georgia Frontiere came up to him to give him a hug and he just looked away as he hugged her with a yeah whatever look on his face. I really hated it when Georgia rubbed it in to SoCal Rams fans faces and said St. Louis this and St Louis that and this championship was for St. Louis.
I dug the fact that Bruce recognized the fans back here in L.A. when he got his chance up on the podium. Gotta admit, those guys were class acts.
I'm suffering from an extreme case of laurinaitis!
Remember when she held the trophy?
There was 50/50 boos and cheers. Tho I thought I heard more boos.
Bruce and Holt
Faulk and Warner….. pretty much all of them were just great classy guys…. they were such a great team unit too… it was a 4 pillars team without being on purpose
With London Fletcher.
Most classy dude in the NFL right now.
"I kind of stepped my swagger up. You look at the Madden game and the swagger's so low, maybe they'll bump me up. Before it was a meatball flex, so you've got to liven it up a little bit." - Animal Jr.
St. Louis people didn't think she was rubbing it into LA fans.
We thought it was a clear message to the commissioner, who had tried his best to block the move. He was standing there and she let him have it.
We'll, if you were here in the L.A. area when it happened ...
you would have taken it that way and witnessed alot of F-Bombs.

It just shows that context means a lot, I guess.
If you didn’t know about the hate St. Louis had for the commissioner (for letting the Cardinals leave, for choosing Jacksonville and Carolina over St. Louis for an expansion team, and for fighting to block the Rams move to St. Louis, making it clear he didn’t want St.Louis to have a team), and you didn’t get to read all her comments in the St. Louis media before and after the game, you could easily hear it differently from what was intended.
Unfortunately, I dont think he is going to be an analyst for very long until he gets his finger fixed.
I guess if he really liked the job he could finally get surgery for it.
I was watching him the other night and any hand motion he makes, his jacked up finger immediately catches your eye! It may have given him those awesome unreal football snaggin hands, but they arent going to help him on T.V. LOL!
All I want for Christmas is a Pete Carroll scowl on week 17!
I'm glad that the Rams aren't replacing the field again
This time they roll it up and wear it in.
Number 8 is great
Weather in Seattle could be the same this Sunday.
They have to be ready for anything.
