This link is the second article (the other link I posted in the fanshot section) that goes past suggestion and matter of factly states that Spags is the architect of the Rams conservative play calling. Also that the win against the 49ers came in large part because Spags let Shurmur take Bradford out for a spin to which he chose spreading the field and no huddle and the Rams scored TDs
Alright guys, roll this around in your brains. Steve Spagnolo is at home today thinking about yesterday's game and goes. You know, I handed it over to my OC and he came through...I should be leaving more of the offense up to him. Then next week rolls around and we Rams fans all of a sudden get slapped upside the head with an offensive juggernaut that cannot be stopped?!
I know I know..far fetched right...but is it? Yeah we have this mantra that our WRs suck and have no speed or no talent. But maybe that isnt quite as correct anymore. I mean its still my Rams...of course our star WRs are a furious midget and a guy that has had 5 knee surgeries LOL!. But those two with Gibson's will to make a play and the Rams might be a decent passing team provided that the Coaches risk it all and put it on Bradford to read man coverage alot more.
My question is how much of the Rams anemic offense which has huge portions of the game where they go 3 and out a result of Spagnolo not wanting to risk an interception and directing the OC to run the football 3 times in a row.
