Week 15 NFL picks: Rams vs. Chiefs

Head coach Steve Spagnuolo of the St. Louis Rams watches...and wonders.

The St. Louis Rams return home after a successful three game road trip in which they went 2-1.

On tap this week, as you may have heard, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Rams are favored by three, according to USA Today.

The Home Dome has been a favorable environment for the Rams. However, just looking at records, you might wonder about the odds makers. The Chiefs are 8-5; the Rams are 6-7.

All of this is just a long segue to ask you for your predictions. Will the Rams win? How will they win? What kind of performances do you expect from individual players?

Rams 20 Chiefs 17

Defense comes up big in the end. I think SJ39 has a TD or two. (The chiefs run D has been poor the last couple weeks)

Rams will win!

SamBo will be back in the freindly confines of the Ed. Hopefully we can get back to some of that no huddle offense that Bradford is so successful at. Steven Jackson will be looking to rebound from that fumble against New Orleans with a big effort on the ground this week. And Ron Bartell will be back to help bolster the secondary. Does anyone know if the Rams D knows where Matt Cassell’s stitches are?

This has to do with being home

I’m really surprised we are the “favorites” here.

Regardless, it’s time for the Rams to kick some ass, Matt Cassel or not.

31-21 Rams!

Number 8 is great

We've got an excellent shot.

If Cassel isn’t back, we win, because Croyle is horrible. If Cassel is back and plays like Roethlisberger did in his first game back from an appendectomy, we win, because that would be about as bad as Croyle. If Cassel is back and at full strength, I think the odds favor the Chiefs, but not by much.

The Bleachers report has the Chiefs favored by 11

Without Cassel...

the Rams can load up the box and should be able to make KC’s run game a non-factor. With Cassel, the Rams have to stay honest. The key will be how comfortable Cassel is and how much pressure the Rams D can pressure him.

I was so far off the mark last week

perhaps it was a premonition for this week 33-17 Rams win BIG

The only thing comparable to a Rams win is a 49er loss!

I look forward to the game.

NFC West has helped us be a division leader all year. Going for the sweep.

check this out...

Don Banks did a redo of the 2010 draft as if it were held today. Obviously Bradford stays in the top spot, but I think you’ll be surprised to see who Banks has going with the 4th pick overall….

I think this goes down to the wire

Bradford makes up for red zone mistakes by hitting Amendola up the middle with almost no time left. Rams win 23-17

I've had this game circled since it was announced

I give KC credit because they have overachied this season but what have they done outside of Arrowhead this year? The Rams have played good at the Ed this year and as of late have proven they can play on the road. The difference between the records of these two teams can be explained by KC getting a few breaks while the Rams have struggled to put away several games they were in position to win. The Rams have progressed and have learned to close out games while the Chiefs luck has run out. In the NFL just about any defense can take a running game away especially at home. Both these teams tend to play ball control grind it out type game plans but in this matchup I just believe Bradford is more capable of scoring. The Chiefs are going to struggle to put points on the board and even if the Rams struggle in the red zone, they will put up over 20. I’ll guess the Rams win 23-13.
